I like most seafood, Cessandra, but sucking the guts out of giant bugs isn’t my thing. I’ll also pass on oysters, clams, snails, and other lifeforms that evolved from primordial boogers. So if we meet at a seafood place (an idea I’m all in favor of) let’s make it one that has salmon, lobster, or shrimp on the menu as well. Does Floyd’s qualify?

Several past SuperBowls sites are available, but I found just one giving a date for this year’s - January 30th (odd that the ticket resellers’ sites don’t show the date, for the most part). Can we verify?

OK, everyone, I’m trying to sort this out.
Nemo’s suggestion of a two fer will probably work out best. Considering manny’s fly-in situation and Sealemon’s (who really deserves to have some accomodation) work schedule, I propose a Sunday meet on the 16th (afternoon) and a weekend night meet on either the 28th (friday) or the 29th (saturday). I think that can accomodate Ayesha, T. LION, Sealemon, Cess, Longhorn, Nemo, manny et moi (and any of you other heretofore shy HouDopers).

Floyds on Chimney Rock was Woodrows which only had a beer and wine license. [Woodrows was the bar, Floyds operated the kitchen. Danny since sold Woodrows.] If it matters to you, check to see if they have mixed drinks.

Sorry, Netscape stopped working, and when I changed to IE I forgot which links I had visited. I’m on the NE side of town, but I have a car, so it doesn’t matter. I don’t care about smoking, and I’m 18, if that helps. A Sunday might work, but it all depends on the time. The weekend of the 15th is out (that’s when I move back), but I will try to make the 30th.

Sunday the 16th works for me (although Saturday is better.) And yes, that’s the Floyd’s I was talking about.

The idea for a sunday meet is driven by Sealemon’s work schedule, the second weekend meet on a friday or saturday is also on the table.
Ok so how about a Sunday say about 3:30 or 4ish, That way Cess can get back home before midnight.
And a Saturday at anytime everyone who can show agrees to ?
If everyone lets us know when they will show in time I may even make name tags again.

Either one is a possibility, beatle. My main overtime Sunday got canceled for this month(yes!), so I might work an 8 hour Sunday on the 23rd, but maybe not. either way, I could make it after work…I’ll just be late.
