Basically, I haven’t seen a plan yet I can’t live with. The main problem seems to be that Cessandra and LongHorn need to travel so Sunday is a bad night for them, but Sealemon needs to work Friday and Saturday so Sundays are the best night for him. It looks like a two-parter is inevitable.
Judging from the lack of response, I’m assuming the Cessandra and LongHorn have classes on the 17th so the evening of the 16th won’t be any better. And I imagine most people (including myself) plan on watching the Superbowl on the evening of the 30th.
So beatle’s recent plan looks like the best; On the 23rd, Sealemon will be able to go after work and Cessandra and LongHorn can be there if they leave early, and on the 29th, Cessandra and LongHorn will be able to stay, Zyada can attend, manhattan will be in town, and Sealemon will be able to show up later. Judging from the responses, beatle, Ayesha, and the Lion have no problems with these times and locations. So now all we need is to hear from Starfish, the Nerd, and any other Houston lurkers.
And someone should email me a phone number. I plan on having internet access when I’m in Texas but it may not work out. So I’d like to be able to communicate with people if necessary.
I think we could just wait up for you, Sealemon. We’d get Cess and Longhorn early and be the greeting committee for the Late Man. It’ll work! I think… Dissenters, speak your piece:

I’ll talk to Carl and see which one is best for him. I’ll try to make both, but I will be at one of them if I have to walk. Of course, Carl owes me 'cause I let him go to Seattle this week, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
Ayesha, two things.
A) I’m only going to stay for 2 1/2 hours at the Sunday meeting. I can’t get home at midnight. Huntsville and back is a four-hour drive, and I want Carl home by 10 so that he doesn’t fall asleep at the wheel and kill himself. He’s an old man, you know. He turns 25 in February. Seriously, though, he has sleeping problems so I hate for him to drive two hours alone at night on that straight highway.
B) I am going to be wearing jeans and a tank top, so if you don’t dress up, at least you are in good company.
One other thing, y’all. Carl hates when I talk about him on the message board. I always tell him “too bad” and then try not to reveal anything too personal, but if you guys know anything about him that he might be embarrassed by, please keep it to yourself. I would really, really appreciate it. Thanks. And I can’t wait to see you guys!
Now if you are gonna show let us know which meeting. I want to try to make something for everyone who will be there and need a little time to get it together. Please.

I checked w/the Ale House and they said their kitchen is open until midnight. They offer typical pub fare: bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, burgers and nachos, etc.
Places to stay? Let me run a little research on that. The Ale House is just off of 59 (Southwest Freeway) and there are many accomodations less pricey than the Galleria area hotels.
Well, y’all, as of now, I’ll be there for both meetings, but I might be later than I thought for the 23rd. It’s possible that that Sunday will be a twelve hour one, in which case, I’ll be getting out at 6:30. I’ll keep you guys posted; I should know for sure in the next couple of days.
