Jeopardy! Online Test

Good luck East Coasters-

Let’s meet back in a few and see how it went! T-8 minutes and counting!

Incidentally, that was a great game of Jeopardy they just showed – great come from behind for Freddy! I loved the looks of shock on both his and the returning champ’s face. I was rooting for him the whole time. Go Freddy!

I’d just like to point out how badly it sucks that I just realized I need to use the bathroom.

Any poor test performance on my part can therefor be blamed on the fact that I’ll be taking the test with clenched buttocks.

Whiterabbit is (I trust) logged in and waiting – I suspect I’d have heard cries of anguish from behind her closed door were she not. We figure that if I could pass the test, she can pass the test. And she has an even better chance of making the show when she passes, in part because she’d be a 2nd generation Jeopardyite.

Break a leg, everybody!

OK…it started…but it’s been sitting there for a few minutes just saying “loading test.”

I think the flash crashed or something.

God dammit!

Same here :frowning:

Maybe too many people are doing it at once. I’m not closing it yet…

so, what did you think?

Fun fact- my first cousin was the first Tournament of Champions winner! He was brilliant.

Not bad, not bad. The first question was about who painted “The Girl With the Pearl Earring.” I read that damned book, and I couldn’t remember if it was Rembrandt or Van Gogh or someone else. I put Van Gogh.

Vermeer

Wonder if it’s due to popup blocking. They said that needed to be disabled. There was a red circle with a dash icon at the bottom of the window; when I clicked on that it led me to something saying popups were blocked from that site. Argh.

Huh. While I know I blew a few of them, that was actually a lot easier than I expected. Of the 50, I’m pretty sure I got at least 40 of them.

For those of you taking the test tomorrow or Thursday, here’s my hint: Make sure you pay attention to the category.

Remembered Vermeer, but then blanked on the stupid Wil Farrell question. :smack:
Well, there is always next year <lol>

Wasn’t as tough as I expected, though I probably fumbled four or five questions, including one where I had nothing and one where I ran out of time typing my answer after I changed my mind.

Just finished. Had to skip a few questions and guessed on a couple. Being a sucky typist didn’t help, either. Will anyone go 50 for 50?

40-42 at most. I just kept blowing arts-related questions; I’m simply no good at that. I did get the “Dashwood sisters” one, though, as I’ve read S&S.

What the fuck? I had pop ups disabled, and was using IE 6.0 (I was leery that Firefox would work.) I never got one of those pop-up notices, so I figured I was ok. The flash program loaded, I was able to login and see the counter timing down till when the test started, but then it never got past the “loading test” page. I’m going to email someone and see if I can try to take it another night. I mean, they can look and see that even though I logged in I never submitted any answers.

Argh. That’s the one I didn’t change my mind on fast enough. The sad part is I had S&S and changed it (or tried to) to P&P.

How hard were the questions? I’ve heard that the live qualification exam is 50 final jeopardy difficulty questions, but I have a hard time believing some of you guys are getting 40+ of those if they’re that hard.

Heh. I only got that one because I remember a certain actor in a certain movie saying a certain name.
