Just moved to the top of my must-buy DVD list - Wallace and Gromit!

That’s right, Nick Park fans. Wallace and Gromit are being released on DVD! We get to see A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, and A Close Shave.

Extra features include “One section labeled “Scrapbook” contains blueprints of mechanical objects like the rocket and Preston the robotic dog; an extensive photo gallery with stills from all three films, concept drawings, character sheets, and behind-the-scenes photos of Park and his crew at work; and W&G-starring holiday station idents for the BBC2…“Behind the Scenes” includes two eight-minute making-of featurettes, “A Close Shave” and “Inside the Wrong Trousers.” There are also examples of Nick Park’s early work, dating back to age 13 when “Walter Goes Fishing” revealed a nascent fascination with clay through graduate school and early screen tests for Wallace and Gromit.”

And of course, audio commentary.

Why do they release the good stuff just when I think I need to start saving up money?

Ok, the thread title should read “must-buy” not “must-but.”

::Hangs head in shame::

Can we get a mod clean up please? I’ll let you watch my Wallace and Gromit DVD after I buy it!

This is actually a rerelease of sorts, but it sounds like it contains a few more special features–the audio commentary being notable of which, the BBC Video disc I own lacks that. Brilliant stuff, absolutely; one of the first discs I ever picked up.

the trouble is that I get their little theme music stuck in my head.

mmmmmmm cheese.

Fawlty Towers is being released on DVD in October…

Fawtly Towers?! Im going to start making my Christmas list right now. I already own the complete set on video, but DVD would be so much cooler.

Cheese, Grommit! We’ll go somewhere where there’s cheese!

Gotta get those DVDs (and a DVD player).

Yeah, I’m with Drastic up there. I’ve had them on DVD for at least a year.

Preach it! Ohhhhhhhh, just hearing the DVD extras alone has me salivating…

First time Hancock’s Half Hour has ever been on DVD. Released October 1st. All odds say I’ll already own all the possible formats and versions and performances of all the possible episodes that will be on the DVD. Odds of my buying the DVD anyway are 1-1.

Anybody else like Hancock? It in’t half cold out here…
