Justified returns tonight!

Well, he did tell him not to mention the chickens again. He’s a man of his word.

Well, we don’t really know what happened to Ella Mae, do we? She could have left of her own accord, or been kidnapped, or maybe Cassie came by and talked her into coming with her. Or she could have just wandered off briefly to get high or work a john, and Colt being a dumbass drives off. Hard to say.I have trouble believing that she figured out that she was going to be killed. And Colton sure seemed like he was unwilling to kill her anyway.

I also don’t believe that Cassie told Shelby everything she knew. He wasn’t terribly subtle, and she has to guess that Boyd might have law enforcement in his pocket if he’s operating so openly.

Oh, and I loved that Rachel got a badass moment as well, with the asp and the idiot chicken farmer waving his tiny knife around. As much as I love Raylan, the show works best as an ensemble cast.

So much for my thought that Lindsay wasn’t in on the scam to take Raylan’s money.

And so much for my thought that boxer dude and Raylan would become good buddies.
So - did the blond preacher widow kidnap crazy, chatty hooker?

Any chance for a Raylan and Rachel hookup? That’s be sweeeeeeeet.

Except that she dumped Randall’s ass as soon as it was safe to do so.

I don’t think Cassie had anything to do with Ellen May’s disappearance. If so, that’s a roundabout way to do it, letting her drive off with Colton and following.

Nevermind that Rachel wouldn’t put up with Raylans crap, considering we know she’s pregnant from an ex (or something like that), I’d call it unlikely.

Okay, see, I missed Where’s Waldo, so I had the baby-scare info wrong, but anyway, Rachel is going through stuff…

I think Rachel is the sexiest woman on the show. But I also think she’s too smart to put up with Raylan’s baggage.

Pretty disappointed in the last episode. Raylan is supposed to be street smart and ruthless, but he just gives a very tough guy one beanbag and then turns his back on him and ignores him, until he’s suddenly amazed when the guy gets up and tackles him from behind.

That’s dumb enough when a pro wrestler does it at Wrestlemania; it has no place in an otherwise well-written show like this.

One of the things I really love about the show is the writing. That’s why I was saddened by the purloined line from Silverado in tonight’s episode.

Raylan was quoting the line. The writers weren’t ripping it off.

I suppose that’s possible. I still didn’t like it, it jarred me out of the movie.

This being my first season, what should I know about all of the characters in the RV with the nice white leather interior scene?

Wynn Duffy (played by Jere Burns) is reasonably high up in the Dixie Mafia, and has been trying to expand his operations in Harlan for a while now. Raylan and he have butted heads a few times to mixed results. Wynn recently backed the play of Robert Quarles out of Detroit which went disastrously wrong. Currently, Duffy and Boyd Crowder are circling each other suspiciously, and Boyd’s right hand man Johnny has approached Duffy offering to betray Boyd.

The rest of the guys are just random thugs.

I must have missed it…what was the line from Silverado?

Yeah what was it please?

“I don’t wanna kill you, and you don’t wanna be dead.”

Not quite random - the guy that got shot in the trailer tonite is a FBI director that went after Raylan in the last season - and its now clear that he (and the FBI agent that got shot last week) have been working with the Detroit gang (and possibly Dixie Mafia) for some time now.

Wynn Duffy got ‘promoted’ at the end of last season after Quarles completely lost it - before then he was pretty much a two bit player.

Old home week for Deadwood alumni. I chuckled when Raylan told Josiah “I remember you”.

Olyphant, Jim Beaver, Stephen Tobolowski (sp?), and Gerald McRaney.

Why did Constable Bob have a photo album – in his car – with a picture of Raylan’s Aunt Mary? Or was that Bob’s Aunt Mary and Raylan was claiming her, to get in with the hill people?

I haven’t watched the whole episode yet.
