It’s pretty easy to attend a NY Dope dinner.
Yes, you just show up. 
In the event of uh … this event, we do need to make reservations for dinner, so it would be helpful for people to say if they are definitely joining us for dinner (if you haven’t already said so in this thread). Manny is taking care of the reservations, just ask for the Cecil Adams party.
Even if you don’t ask for the Cecil Adams party, you can usually tell which one it is because we’re very loud. We also try to be on the lookout (if we’re between drinks) for first-timers wandering in.
If you prefer to meet up with us for after dinner drinks at the Patriot, just stop by. Again, we will be the loud group. Now, you are probably saying to yourself “but NY bars are CHOCK FULL O’ LOUD GROUPS” but trust me on this, we will be the loudest (and very likely, the goofiest).
There is only ONE RULE for New York Dope Events, and that is (drum roll please)
TIP YOUR WAITPERSON. TIP YOUR WAITPERSON WELL.

Be on time! I had to negotiate to get us a 7:00 reservation. Specifically, I promised that anyone who was late would have to wash dishes. OK, not really, but they won’t get seated. Really. So, early = good, on time = good, late = very, very bad.

Just throwing this out as an idea…would anyone be interested in running out to MOMA in Queens on Saturday afternoon to see the Ansel Adams exhibit? I’m probably gonna go even if no one’s interested because I don’t get into the city that often and I can’t pass up the opportunity…but it’d be nice to have company.
Cosmopolitan has said on LJ that she plans to wear a certain outfit. Someone will take and post pix, right? Good.
