This may be too little too late but today is another day and I feel like a dickhead for the way I acted yestarday.
I was trying to make a point, but I was being an annoying sod about it. I am cursed with an inability to leave things unresolved.
And the ‘Best looking dopers’ thread was an attempt to be spontaneous and slightly tongue in cheek (if that is the right phrase, I am not sure), that backfired and it turned out to be just plain stupid.
I don’t believe everyone picks on me, and I don’t want to be treated any differently than anyone else. I was just trying to stick by my guns that namecalling was not nice (to anyone, not just to me). Sure it’s not nice, but being persistant and annoying about saying it is not nice either.
So I humbly apologise to you two and any other decent people that may have been annoyed by me that day.
Especially to you Ice Wolf - You have been consistently civil and nice to me. And I feel bad for being the way I was in return.
Now, honestly Lobsang. While I’m honoured and all (and I shall presume to speak on Icey’s behalf as well until she turns up) I am severely disappointed that you bunged this thread into MPSIMS. Mundane and pointless? Seeing my (our) names up there in the header box for all the world to glance upon and bow before might be M & P to you, but in my simple and sheltered life it has been the very pinnacle. My life’s ambition has been achieved. MY NAME IS IN A THREAD TITLE, and better, it is right there next to me’ Kiwi cuz. We are famous. And even more importantly, does that mean I’m not a newbie anymore? Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee.
(I’m not counting the time of the Engelbert Humperthingy saga…that was just plain silly. Hey, whatever happened to Deeward anyway? Haven’t seen her around these parts since way back then…shame really. I really must stop calling people horrid names)

I was looking forward to an Island of Man - Aussie Rumble Pile On Train Wreck. Even if I didn’t see the offending thread that begat this apology. I just like the logisitics of it all. Teeny tiny Isle of Man VS. AUSTRALIA. It still blows my mind.

Lobsang, I have to admit – you got my growls going yesterday. I thought I’d been made a poor sad fool of, and that didn’t sit too well. That I’d nearly come to blows with a wonderful regional “cousin” of mine hurt even more.
This thread, though, is wonderously cool. Definitely a high point in a weekend where I, too, am fixing bridges, and offering mea culpas.
Apology accepted – only if you cruise on, be yourself around here, and try not to see us as your playthings. I’d hate, really hate to see another Doper go down in flames.
