Anyone see his outburst at the VMAs? What a no-class piece of shit. Is it widely known that he’s a total asshole or is this a surprise to some?
Widely known. His off the wall behavior was first noticed with the “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” debacle.
The sad thing is that he was right. ‘Single Ladies’ was one of my favorite songs of the year and far superior to whatever snippet of garbage coming out of Taylor Swift. That doesn’t excuse him taking that moment from Taylor Swift or creating such an awkward situation for Beyonce. Poor Taylor Swift was so thrown off and looked so sad. I felt bad for her.
Oh hell, I am sure he was right…you could pick any Beyonce song at random and it would likely be better than anything Taylor Swift has done. But that is just beyond rude and the poor girl is like what? 19? Why not complain after the show? It’s not like he’d have a problem finding a reporter to listen to him.
I agree with you. That’s why it’s unfortunate that I have to agree with Kanye West on anything.

That stupid bastard needs to be medicated. He obviously has such an inflated sense of his own importance that it’s become a clinical disorder.
The hell of it is that honestly, he is really thoroughly mediocre as a musician. I’ve heard his songs which are so-called “pop genius” and I was underwhelmed. They sounded no different from all the other shit radio rap out there.

I saw the clip on Yahoo! earlier. What a turd. I don’t like Taylor Swift’s music (or West’s or Beyonce’s either, for that matter), but publicly humiliating a teenage girl during what was supposed to be such a big moment for her was the height of douchebaggery.
I just watched both videos. One was pretty standard synchronized rump-shaking, the other was stereotypical romantic teen angst. Calling either one the best of the decade seems like a stretch, but I’m old enough to remember when the most popular videos were like little art films - crappy little art films, a lot of the time, but at least it looked like people were trying to do something creative.
Where was I? Oh, yeah. Kanye was a douche, no surprise. But he was a stupendous douche. Like, if it was a hip hop movie and he was playing the rival to the hero and he did something like that, critics would say nobody’s that big of a douche.
Exactly. When comparing these two pieces of pop pablum, saying that one was superior while the other was “garbage” is ridiculous.
I felt sorry for Taylor Swift for having her moment stolen; she looked utterly deflated after Kanye’s little ass-showing. And I felt sorry for Beyonce, who looked mortified. Kayne is a tool and if I were producing an awards show I think I would bar him from attending.
Someday, Kanye west is gonna pull something like that on a metal band and they are going to ruin his shit for him.

Kanye West is a mediocre act, and while I can enjoy some of his music, overall I find the man repugnant.
While I’ve no doubt he’s a natural born jackass, it also appears he’s a bit of a girly man as far as handling his Covahseeay.
Assuming that’s alcohol in the bottle, isn’t he in violation of some alcoholic beverage control laws in the state of New York?

So if as it appears he was inside the venue, he might be okay. Albeit if the venue is one with a liquor license, there might be separate problems if he brought his own bottle in – not clear whether he got that bottle of cognac from the licensed Radio City bar, or elsewhere.
