Anyway, the wife liked it then but I eventually let it grow back. So, some months ago, as a surprise, trying to add a little spice, I shaved him and the surrounding territory again. She liked it and I’ve kept the area clear-cut ever since.
So, it looks like I may once again be entering the dating world. Now I’ve got to make a decision to let the forest grow back or keep it cut.
So, for you ladies, do you have a preference in your men? Clean cut? Trimmed? Au Natural? Tie Dyed?
But normally, shaved if the guy likes that (more places you’re tongue can reach) or reasonably trimmed. I’d say both sexes are going for “less rather than more hairy” these days.
Best bet: trimmed. Until you know what the person in question prefers.
I’m not too crazy about the shaved pubes thing. Shaved balls is nice though. For some reason every guy I’ve dated pretty much ever has enjoyed shaving his balls. I’m not even sure how much hair naturally grows on balls, to tell the truth. I could wind up in some snowed-in-with-a-stranger-for-weeks scenario some time and be in for a giant horrifying shock. The only guy I ever went with who could shave his actual pubes and have it make any kind of sense was Japanese so he was hairless enough everywhere else that shaving his pubes wasn’t a conspicuous bald spot and he did like to shave his pubes sometimes. I don’t really know what to say about it besides that he was the type of guy who’d suddenly show up with no pubes and no explanation. The first time he did it I asked why and he said he’d been bored and so he’d shaved it all and had a nice long wank afterwards. After that it appeared and disappeared intermittently. I practically felt like it was none of my business. Maybe that’s why I prefer hair, I’m not sure. He did look like a bit of a gay pornstar to me without his pubes though. I can’t even imagine how dumb it would look if a guy had hair all on his chest, belly and thighs and then shaved off an area around his dick. I’ve never seen a guy with too much pubic hair but then, there may be things I don’t know involving the toenail scissors. Beauty secrets.
Balls is good though. Like I say, I’m not really sure how much hair I’m missing out on there but I doubt I would find really hairy balls erotic.
Nah, I would suggest neatly trimmed until you hear differently from someone whose opinion matters. Don’t want to scare anyone off with going to either extreme.
And, by the way, good for you for having enough confidence in yourself to prepare for having some new people experiencing your personal areas! You go, boy!
I have never shaved my pubes for the exact reason pokey describes. I’m not really sure where the pubes end and regular body hair begins. If I were to shave just what I consider pubes and leave the rest, it would be like a crop circle in a field of dark wheat. Plus it might attract aliens, and not the illegal kind.
Pube-shaving skeeves me out to no end, though if a guy likes to do it to himself, more power to him. I just ask that he be careful not to get too stubbly; that can be very … well … irritating. If you know what I mean.
I don’t do it, but I’;ve been told that it can make things down there look a bit “bigger”, by comparison. Is this true? If so, a little trim trim might be in order…not that I am in any sense of the word sexually active…but, you know…it could happen…right?
My husband had to shave his pubes for his vasectomy 19 years ago and I didn’t like it at all. I was very happy when it grew back. I like a bit of body hair on a man anyway. And no pubic hair at all just gives a man a… prepubescent? sexless? … anyway, an off look. IMO.
Trimmed is ok, though. Good grooming is always a plus.
Speaking as a guy, I didn’t notice any difference but it’s always hard to judge for yourself and, unfortunately, I didn’t have anyone who could give an appraisal.
I’m not a lady, but I think it’s a little presumptuous, to be groomed like that if you’re a single man. Like, if I tried to be subtle and then I pulled my pants down and there’d been a red bow wrapped around myself the whole time, would that be appealing?
A number 5 (about 1cm or .5 inch) on a hair-clipper is fast, easy and makes you look neat for that 3rd or 4th date. Then you talk about it with your new partner.
McWife likes me trimmed, so there’s hair that’s about 1/4" long. Any shorter than that and the boys get itchy all day long, and when I’ve gone totally bald it just looks strange- like there’s a chihuahua hanging between my legs.
