Ladies, Would you want to be dumped before or after Xmas.

I read it as the woman had just ended a long relationship (marriage). One of the women. The NYE one.

I’m not a lady, but I’ve been dumped after Christmas. Since she knew ahead of time it was going to happen, I’d rather it had happened before.

Maybe the OP works for UPS?

Women love to cut off all communication, especially after just one date, as a passive way of telling you it’s over.

I suggest you rise above that, call them and explain them exactly what’s going on. They will appreciate it and it wouldn’t necessarily close the doors for a future relationship.

TL;DR Trucelt nailed it upthread.

Men do it too.

To the OP, why exactly, do you think either lady would be crushed by your absence in their lives after only one date? Do you really think you are such a catch?

Here’s the likely scenario: you blow off the two new ladies to go back to the one who dumped you. Drama will ensue. You or she will end it again. And if you have the balls to try to chat up the new ladies again, I hope they tell you to take a flying leap.

Always alone…

Whether you tell the new women in your life before or after the holidays, giving it another try with the ex should definitely wait until after them. As mentioned upthread, you can have a bad case of lonesome around Christmas, New Years and Valentine’s. Judgment can go way off course.

I feel slightly less guilty about letting go of my girlfriend before Christmas now…very slightly less…
