I shall be in town the evenings of the 17 (of June) to the 20th. I must stay the Hilton (as the Suncoast has no rooms at the inn). I am just stopping to show my mother the town and to renew my driving license. Still if anyone wants to see what I look like, I am available.

Would love to try to meet up while you are in town - and hey, maybe you would like to volunteer to do some pub research while you are here? Granted, the night life here probably doesn’t come close to the wild, debauched fun in Saudi, but if you are up for it, let us know…

Thanks for being so hospitable - does this mean you’ve forgiven us for taxation without representation?
My sister and are are staying at the Luxor and won’t have a car, so we’d really appreciate something on what you native call ‘the Strip’.
Our plans are:
Aug 10th—night flight over the city
Aug 11th—‘float trip’ down some river (well she’s going - I’m hanging around the city)
Aug 12th-- ‘Love’ at Cirque du Soleil
So I’m sure I’m in and my sister might be…

Glee - looking forward to meeting you and of course we have forgiven you for that little misunderstanding from years’ past…although I would warn your sister that she shouldn’t lean too far over the boat while singing God Save The Queen. I think you will really like LOVE at the Mirage - has received rave reviews!
And will do our best to keep things easy to get to and find for you furriners.
The Crown & Anchor is fine for a meet and greet but they do not take reservations and on a Friday night the crowds can be unpredictable for a large group. The service is notoriously slow. I just got back from there now, and had to wait out a drunken English rugby team for a place to sit. There were 5 of us.

Oh, yes, but where else in the world could one discuss how uptight us Yanks are with a shitfaced, Ranch-dressing covered British Rugby player who was wearing bright green thong underwear?
BrattiAtti and everyone else; I’m actually planning to attend a film festival here in San Diego that very weekend. Sorry! I hope to see you all at the next southwest/CA Dopefest, though!
Moderators are people too. Plus you guys were pretty nice when I met you at the doperfest dinner in Huntington Beach a few years back.
Your name tag could say:

I just told cadolphin I’d signed us up, and she exclaimed:
“NO! Don’t tell them a moderator’s coming! No one will show up!”
You guys aren’t that shallow, are you?

Well, let me put it this way…Manhattan flew out from NYC and showed up for a LasVegasDopeFest a few years ago, and nobody has seen or heard from him since…

Man would I love to attend. Unfortunatly I live too far from Las Vegas and already used up my yearly trip money on a trip to Chicago (which I’d take over anything else, anyway). But I just stopped in to confirm that mods indeed don’t bite. At least Coldfire didn’t when he attended a Phoenix Dopefest when he was still on the staff.
Speaking of which, we should have another Phoenix one soon.
Cool! I live in Vegas, so I would probably be able to make it. Would be a great way for the new (kind of; I just recently re-subscribed after the paid accounts started) guy to get to know people.
By sheer coincidence, I may be in Vegas during those dates. I’m not sure how much free time I’ll have (I’m meeting family who are also coming in from out of town), but I’ll definitely watch this thread and keep it in mind.
I’ve been longing to go to Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill and I love Quark’s. The mist running off of my drink and hovering over the surface of the bar while Klingon’s towered and glowered was so worth 12.50.
