Last week of April in the MMP

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 56 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 87 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. The big plan of the day is virtual deheathenization. We shall have what I posted yestiddy for N.O.L. and maybe spend some quality time out at the cee-mint pond. I think the water is still a little coolish, but we can lounge around and sip beerverages which would be fun.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, onward into the day. Rah.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

**MetalMouse **- have you ever seen this site? You could Sudoku your brains out!!

According to weather radar, the rain isn’t supposed to hit till after noon. I may be able to get out and move a few plants before then, and rain will help them settle in. If I get motivated. hmmmmm

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. It’s supposed to be dreadfully nice, with no rain till Tuesday.

[Advert]Free to a good home. Sasha is a 3 year old Bengal looking for a quiet country abode. Not good with other cats, dogs, children, adults, small rodents. OK with elephants

FCM, know that site well, but I’m old-fashioned, prefer pen-to-paper to do my figurin’.

Morning all, another bright and warm day today. Thinking about mowing the lawn, but probably won’t get by the thinking park of it. Picked up about 10 picture frames from the dollar store yesterday so need to frame and hang some more pictures. Picking up Sunday dinner from the Olive Garden about 11:20am.

Nut, glad to hear the zoo is likely to survive. And the bee will be fine for another day or so.

nellie, good on ya for taking the time to comfort a friend in need…you are a friend indeed.

Everybody take care now.

Gonna take an hour or so now to move some plants around - before the rain hits. Behave yourselves while I’m away!!!

Mornin’ all!

Up, caffeinating, breakfasting and fixing to do KP before going online to heathenize. Not a whole lot shaking today, so I’ll do lunch prep and fix supper, read and mess around in the studio.

Stay healthy y’all!

And the weather guessers lied - it started raining on me as I was digging out plants. But it wasn’t a major downpour so I was able to finish without getting soaked, tho I did work up a sweat.

I moved half a dozen hostas, a couple of peonies, some black-eyed susans, and an annual that my mom gave me that I can’t identify. I may move a few more susans later, but for now, I’m done. And it’s not even 10!!!

Give this one a try.

Awakened by a HUGE splash. Apparently, upstairs idiots did not take maintenance telling them not to use the leaky bathtub seriously (theirs is a 2-bathroom like ours, so they didn’t HAVE to use the one with a known leakage problem!) and my front bathroom ceiling was POURING water. Already called maintenance.

OD is getting ready to open tomorrow. She has full bookings for her opening. I went there with a quart of home brew hand sanitizer and some tools to hang a new mirror. I am glad she weathered the storm. She is making plans to build a better safety net going forward.

YD also starts her new job this week at a different bank as Teller Manager.

I am very proud of my girls

I had a similar problem with my condo, and the mis-managment company were dragging their feet, until I pointed out that the shutoff valves for my side of the house were in my basement, and I dammed well knew how to use them.

Mrs. L.A. requested chicken-fried steak for dinner.

It’s just as well. I was going to make fish’n’chips, but the store didn’t have any Newcastle Brown Ale (for the batter) or halibut. I did pick up some Guinness, though.

Howdy y’all we virtually deheathenized, joined Zoom coffee hour at St. Pat’s for a bit to catch up on folks, et N.O.L. and accomplished nappage. Also, I have hauled the biiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. We did go out to the cee-mint pond for a bit after N.O.L. and before nappage. Still too cool to jump in IMO, but nice to be out there. We quaffed a beerverage and dangled our footsies in the water.

Hippie yay for the offsprings!

Nettie some folks cornbread just ain’t done in the middle.

I dusted the ceiling. And I vacuumed. Then I cat napped(Alex Catt was on my chest.)

Evening all. Dinner was et and was good, got extra breadsticks as requested. Then nappage ocurred this afternoon, and looking outside and at the weather map, we’re going to get some rain here shortly, against all predictions. Such is weather in the spring (right FCM?.

Already placed my order with Jersey Mike’s subs for tomorrow and prepared the weekly list, so that much at least is complete.

Nettie, hope you don’t have to break out the water wings. And maybe this will get the idiots removed by management.

Hippy, hope things go well for OD. Sounds like she has a plan.

I’m not having problems with maintenance dragging their feet, they’ve been great about prompt response. Too bad they couldn’t make the ditz upstairs who “forgot” not to use the tub with known plumbing issues dumping water into MY bathroom clean up the mess! They JUST had that conversation with the upstairs people on Friday!

DH has pointed out we’ve had worse upstairs neighbors, such as the people who held elephant races at all hours. He does have a point there.

I cleaned out two closets today. This was not on the agenda, as I try not to do much real labor on Sundays (a habit inculcated by my mother). However, I needed to find something on my (very old) laptop, which I knew had to be in one of the two closets. It took cleaning them both out to remember I’d stored it in a seldom-used piece of luggage. :smack:

The weather is more capricious than a teen-ager today: as soon as you say, “Oh! The sun’s out!” it dashes behind a raincloud. I’m sure the flora love it.

Nettie, what a mess! I hope nothing of yours got ruined. Glad the bathtub didn’t fall into your place. Then you’d have had an even bigger mess, plus a wet idiot in your place.

Red, I LOVE the mental image of your SIL and her sister dressing up in grand hats and drinking mint juleps (Are there other kinds of juleps?) at the old folks home! Or did they just drink whiskey?

Moooooom, I love black-eyed susans! My mother used to call them brown-eyed susans. Or are those two different flowers?

Just for the halibut?

Thankfully, the ceiling/floor does not seem to be in imminent danger of collapse :). I just don’t think these two GET gravity. I’m frequently returning dog toys that fell off their balcony onto my patio (which does stick out a bit further from the building). I’d give up except that I like dogs, and thinking about toy-deprived pups makes me sad. They’re not likely to be getting back much else that falls unless they come looking for it, though. I am NOT their maid/errand girl, and they can at least try to keep track of their own stuff. I’ve reminded them several times about how stuff that falls off their balcony lands in my patio. Thankfully, nothing heavy enough to endanger the Princess has fallen, or they’d have a very angry kitty-mom to deal with.

Another long ass day. We had fried tilefish which was excellent, French fries and corn on the cob. Cleaned as I went so need to just start the dishwasher. I purposefully did not nap today. I have to run in to irk for a bit in the morning and the earlier the better. I only need to do a couple things. Of course, I could stay all day doing my training but shall play that by ear. I do need to figure out my printer issues.

Y’all have a great evening and catch y’all on the flip side.

The elephant mosh pit is preferable yo all the times it has rained from upstairs (3 of 4 floods in the last 5 years)
