Leaving O a Jet MMP

I believe **BooFae **works in Birmingham.

When will you be moving? Have you even finished unpacking from your last move?

Ha! No, there’s still some boxes in the garage.

Move date to be determined. Depends on visas and all that goodness. I think it might be close to the end of the year, but we’ll see.

mooommmm Punkin’ hair has be received, repeat punkin’ hair has been received. thank you again!

Good morning,

Long time no chat.

Been busy adjusting to living with someone else again (my son) and getting him ready for college. It’s been nice, but I must admit I got real used to being alone.

Fortunately he’s adjusted to progressive ideas like no guests / no pants and whenever and eventually are acceptable answers to requests if I do indeed see results within 24 hours. He’s actually better about stuff like that than I am.

He moved in with an older cat which has changed the feline dynamics of the house, mostly for the better. My cat’s previous owner was strict about furniture, etc and she’s been shy about pushing boundaries. Not any longer. Now she’ll sleep on the bed, sit on the sofa and / or be a general nuisance, which is what a cat should be.

Otherwise not much special here. Mom’s been keeping me informed about BooFae’s visit so I figured I better get back into the MMP.

Happy wet Monday!

**Butters **- that really was fast delivery. Which tells me it probably didn’t go thru the local center that hosed me over a few weeks back. Now be sure to put them some place safe!!!

The rain has begun! YAY!

Bah. Boofae gets all the cool Mumper stuff.

Gonna be doing a few days at a food stall at an event this weekend, for a bit of extra cash.

May as well; I’d slightly underestimated how much the move was going to cost, so instead of spending my last month here having fun and doing all the stuff I’ve been meaning to get round to, I’ve been mostly just sitting in, getting bored.

A good basic line but --------- Hey Grumpy----- want to ruin a marriage? Want to ruin a couple marriages? Want to ruin a motel room in Altoona Pennsylvania?

is a little more original.
Watching Yongary ( Yongary, Monster from the Deep (1967) - IMDb ) which I have somehow missed up to now. Its basically a Korean take-off on Godzilla or Gorgo or something all mashed together. Am ordering a copy as soon as I leave here.

We still have a couple waiting to be unpacked in the attic ------- from like 1986. :smack:

Arg! Today is one of those days on the Dope where “View Last Unread” isn’t working for me. I hates that, I do.

MST3KTR did Yongary. Never have I seen a more brutal kaiju death.

I will never say that since I have NO idea what “earthquake weather” feels like.

I did however, once say that it looked like snow. I was in Florida. Whoops.

 Thanks, Spidey!

Uh-oh. **Kopek **is winning points for originality! LOL!

Humid. We get humidity here sometimes in late summer/early fall and everyone (it seems) likes to say “feels like earthquake weather”. Californians. What do they even know about weather, anyway?

Bout to leave for home and off until Moanday. yoohoo

Yay, Butters! Enjoy your respite!!

I made a pasta bake for supper - macaroni mixed with my world-famous sketty sauce, topped with shredded parm and baked. YUM! Peach pie later. Chillage now. I’s tahred…

{{{big kitty}}} May your next weekend be less eventful.

2gig Welcome back! :tacklehug:

ruble, do you ever get twigged to books, movies and other things at da Jungle that you wind up ordering?

Have fun doggio!

I got my car into the shop this afternoon. The problem wasn’t serious at all. One of the gaskets between roof panels had dry rotted and the two panels were smacking against each other when I hit enough speed to move them around. It was $99 for the diagonstics and that was applied to the $160 repair that will happen Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, to the Mumper dog [del]slaves[/del] owners, did you have any issues with housebreaking your puppy? Nelson is doing well not peeing in the house, but we can be outside for half an hour waiting for him to do #2 and it dioesn’t happen. Ten minutes after coming in, I find a pile. How did you do it?

I thought that was the same picture of the dog with a blanket every day, like a sig or logo.
Not that Invisible Mole People are not a problem here; the More or Less Wire Haired Dachshund believes that, “Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom!”

I should imagine that one’s footing is unsteady at best.

Red It takes patience but my experience is that dogs in general have a very short digestive process. Always after they eat, within a half hour. Now puppehs I can’t help you with that. At least it’s a small pile amirite

Thanks Mooommmm for the best wishes on some rest or at least some time off more than a day here and there. I really need as I fear I may be sleeping on a pallet there after this week due to no staff. If I am lucky at least one new staffer will start this week but there is a steep learning curve. Yep, maybe a cot at least.

We have a fenced yard, so we toss Higgs out and she does what she has to do. Yeah, I expect that doesn’t help you much. Sorry…

**Butters **- did you check out the wigs yet?

I just popped a melatonin - I need to sleep tonight and I figure I’ll take all the help I can get. Within an hour, I should be unconscious. At least that’s what I’m hoping for.

I wasn’t ignoring tugig - he and I have been having a secret-off-line conversation… wink-wink. OK, we traded a couple of PMs about BooFae’s visit. Potato, potahto…

2gig, nice of you to drop by. Being single I sometimes go no company/no nothing, but that would probably be a bit too much…

Butters, enjoy what time off you can get.

Red, glad you got off cheap on the car repair; usually it costs $200 plus just getting there…

Ruble, I do remember Yongary: Monster fro the Deep from a lost Saturday afternoon many, many years ago. Maybe I’ll have to check it out again…

Weather waited until right before soccer practice to start lightning and thundering, so it was cancelled. We’ll see what tomorrow brings, when I am due to encounter 30+ 4-5 year old girls who want to play soccer. I find myself slightly alarmed by this.

I was very surprised by that. You could claim the original oxygen destroyer was brutal but they didn’t go into the real details and images the Koreans did.

Not really. All I ever see basically are boxes; only Problem Solve sees any contents and then only damaged packages. Books don’t damage very often. A couple coworkers have turned me on to a few good reads and I often take stuff I’m done with in to share but for my job, at my level, it doesn’t matter if its books, movies, or Liquid Ass -------- its just another box with a Smilie on it I have to scan.
I am told we now are basically printing our own books basically on demand. Some of the larger FCs have the copier/printer/binder and just have the books on disc. You order, they print and package and ship to us, we play hockey with it in Doggio’s honor and send it to the USPS to hand off to you. I don’t know how true it is (how much of what we offer is not stored in hard copy) and in the stuff the OW has ordered I don’t see any tell-tale signs. But the thought is interesting.
