Leaving O a Jet MMP

Done braining for today. Nothing is critical and I’ll be out of here in a few minutes. We’re promised a rainy weekend, and I wouldn’t mind that at all. Hope I can sleep in a few times.

Gotta stop for gas on the way home. Don’t let me forget!!!

I’ve not been very productive today at all. Or if I have been, it doesn’t feel like it. I think it’s because it’s the fourth gray gloomy day this week and it’s wearing me down. Had to take some vitamin D earlier so I wouldn’t fall asleep.

flytrap, just release a herd of teenage boys onto I-30. They’ll take care of that pizza spill.

You’ll look good in stripes.

It’s not stripes any longer, **flytrap **- it’s orange jumpsuits!

Pizza Hotline is delivering supper - calzone for me, wings for spousal unit, cinnamon sticks for dessert. And with the coupon, it came to just under $20. And we don’t have to leave the house. Yay!

The metaphor remains.

You could have had road kill here. See above.

Back from consumin’ not too shabby Chinese [del]hog trough[/del] buffet. OYKW is tahrd from drivin’ poor thing. He’s about to take a whirlpool tub bath and then wants to collapse on the bed. I have promised him that tomorrow he can be a sloth all day. I am sure he’ll take me up on that.

If anything, I paid too much in taxes,

Everyone knows orange is the new cat.

Mooooom, I’m with butters and FCD on the chiggers. They like to hang on to things like the cuff of your socks or the tops of your shoes.

Getting a project prepped for crafting with the heathens Saturday. Because we have a bigger group this time, it won’t be at my house, so prep work is necessary. Nelson and I played a killer game of Kill the moo cow before I started supper. Now he’s ready for some more face time.

I has sore feets. Working at the balloon fiesta for a food stall, for a bit of extra cash to make moving a little less stressful. I now smell of pulled pork, and I’ve been on my feet from 10:30 am 'til midnight. I had to walk nearly an hour back to the city centre afterwards to catch a bus home.

It was actually pretty interesting, foot pain aside; it’s a really big local event, and I’ve not been before. As is tradition, it was too windy for the mass hot air balloon ascent, though the forecast looks promising for the 6am attempt tomorrow. I am not working tomorrow, especially at 6am, however, so if I can’t see it from bed, I ain’t watching. I’ve seen the mass launch a few times before anyway, albeit from a distance. I’m supposed to work Saturday 'n Sunday as well, weather depending.

& you didn’t tell me in advance?

Here’s what one looks like from the air.

My friend is looking to buy a new-to-her/used car. She said the cigarette odor made her nauseous. I told her to not walk away, but run. Had to explain that if she didn’t like it after a 5 minute test ride how bad it would be on a long drive. ::SMH::

How can you have sore feet from a balloon thing? Just borrow one, and holler at the people below.
Jeez Louise, do I have to do everything around here?
:dubious:

Yeah — depending on the brand and toppings I may prefer them scattered over the highway.

I WANT THAT DRIVER BLOOD-TESTED, CITED AND DRAWN AND QUARTERED FOR CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY!!!
I don’t know that I’ll actually get it but when I’m gone I want the words "pepperoni and mushrooms carved on the back of my tombstone. It has been a goal of mine since their original ad campaign.

Somebody up-thread suggested getting High School students to pick up the pizzas; I suggest two dorms full of college freshman would do a more complete job (and if you’re really serious, three fraternities would have the road open in 20 minutes, tops).

Nut, been on one hot air balloon ride in my life; of course, it was over the Masai Maru in Kenya, which made it just a little spectacular. Don’t know about England, but I would like to get to Albuqueque for their mass balloon launch one day.

Only had to chase 13 4 and 5 year old girls today at soccer. Biggest problem is keeping their attention for more than, say…12 seconds. After that, anything else that looks more interesting is fair game. Did have one drill where they were allowed to shoot at me…THAT one they liked a lot…

Going to talk to my Edward D. Jones adviser tomorrow on best time to set up an annunity. If our President doesn’t get us nuked (which will probably have a negative effect on the Stock Market), I should be in pretty good shape.

And so to bed…

She was working there, standing on the ground; however, it is normal to stand during a flight. Exceptions, of course can sometimes be made for things like wheelchairs, but most baskets don’t even have a seat in them*.

For spilling Tombstone’s or for attempting to deliver them to a grocery store in the first place?
Also, check your PM’s
*Cloudhoppers are the exception as they don’t have a basket.

I have missed y’all. I sort of noped out of everything earlier this year, and I’m trying to get my stuff back together. And that’s mundane enough for a late Thursday, I suppose.

I hope all is well with the usual crowd, and that the new kids have survived the usual trial by squid?

Peaches! Welcome back. We missed you.

I like Tombstone pizza. Tis not my favorite but OK in a pinch. Now I want pizza.

I have been awake since 0230 since I went to bed at 8 PM. Much too early. I cooked again. Hubby is enjoying some home cooking for a change. We talked about going out tonight but we shall see. We have lots of leftovers that need to be et.

Welcome back Peaches.

Back to sleep with me.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 90 and mostly cloudy with a chance of rain. No big plans for the day. I need to go to the Pubic sto’ and the IGA sto’ in Da Burg for provisions. Burgers are on the menu for tonight along with fries. I could dust and vacuum but don’t bet on either one of those happenin’ today.

{{{Peaches}}} ::tacklehug:: LTNS! Come back and play!

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose I should purtify if I am to go about the public.

Happy Firday Y’all!

I was stuck on a food stall, I’ve never been on a balloon :frowning: Been to the Maasai Mara on the ground and saw other people balloonin’ over, but it’s a bit out of my disposable income range.

I wondered if you’d ever been to that event Spidey- I know that photo ain’t from Bristol, there’s no airfield there, just a park (with some very confused deer), but I believe it is one of the biggest balloon events, and pretty international. Also quite silly.

They did get the mass launch off this morning- I could, in fact, see 'em from bed, so maybe I could have hung around and got a lift home, they went almost over the house

Got a phone call from the ex-boss this morning asking if I could possibly do a few more shifts 'cos the other waitress is going, and he doesn’t have anyone else available that week who can make drinks. Unfortunately, it’s the same days that I just rented a van for the move, so nope.
Anyone who can make coffee want a few days work? It is quite nice there actually, despite the occasional utter madness.
