I am at irk, and very irked. The timetabling thing I was putting off yesterday has been partially solved by the Russians caving in to my demands without a fight. Now I just need to get the Spanish to do the same. Honestly, I could win awards for international diplomacy here!
I’ve also moved an exam to accommodate a student who has to be away on the day it was meant to happen so that’s another thing off the list.
All I need now is for someone to find me a German-speaking scribe for an exam on Monday so that I don’t have to reschedule everything for a disabled student who needs to do all his exams in the next week so he can ship off for his year abroad.
It’s a good thing there is lots of tea in the world!

I’ve got a bunch of little red dots over my left foot and leg. I thought at first it might have been poison ivy, but it’s not. It sorta looks like bug bites but it also looks like a field of zits. They itch like crazy!! At least the swelling around my ankle has gone down. A liberal application of hydrocortisone and the ingestion of antihistamine helped me sleep, altho I have a drug hangover this morning. I wish I knew what it is. Not amused at all.
However, the weather is still gloriously cool and not humid so there’s that.

Apparently TWPTB are wafflin’ over the big deluge we’re supposed to be gettin’. :dubious: The big plan today is mowage which I shall commence in just a little while. I should be able to get that done before the maybe or maybe not rain. Or the rain will start whilst I am in the midst of mowage. Stoopid forecast.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, well, mowage awaits!

Spidey - I’d love it, except for all those stairs. Going out to get groceries might be a bit of a pain, especially in the winter time.
I have a bit of a scheduling issue with irk right now because I don’t have the flight info from the breeder yet. There is some stuff going on and I can’t take any time off for the next two weeks. I can, however, schedule around anything I have to do as long as I get the minimum hours in.
blurf. Tis thundering and darkish. Mayhaps it shall rain. I slept well and had pot roast for brekkie. Now I need to load and unload the dishwasher and commence to vacuuming the house and mopping. So, housework is the day’s plan. Neverending housework. And laundry. I made an appt to get my hairs done tomorrow. Cut and color.
I am really enjoying my time off and could easily get used to this but it shan’t be. I have to irk at least 6 more years.
Butters - spousal unit thought it might be chiggers, too. Seems odd that I’ve been mowing that ditch for 13 years and all of a sudden it’s full of chiggers, but who knows? Maybe the conditions were just right for a big crop this year. This, too, shall pass… I hope…

I completed mowage, am all cleanded, have had N.O.L. and am sippin’ on diet Poopsie. I talked with OYKW. He should be here around four. I mentioned majik intartoobz pizza for dindin but he wants not too shabby Chinese [del]hog trough[/del] buffet so we shall go there. Fine by me. I really like the aig drop soup there.
MOOOOOOM do y’all have fire ants in southern Merrylande? Chigger and fire ant bites look kinda similar. When we were kids, a life long friend of mine had a mutt dawg named Chiggers. We lived four blocks apart but Chiggers would wander over to visit from time to time. My friend would call and say he couldn’t find Chiggers and I’d tell him he was with me and my friend would come get him. Chiggers just lurved me!
Answer this. How does so much dust accumulate in a house on stilts that stays closed up all the time? I know a great deal was dog and cat hair but still. I moved my king size bed to vacuum and mop under it and it was dust/hair bunnies galore. I believe this is the worst room though.
Now I am all tahred and I still have the rest of the house to do.
Well, I won’t be getting my little boy on the 22nd thanks to the eclipse. So she is going to get back to me with either the 29th or the 30th.
What is interesting is that one of my puppy’s sisters will be on the same flight.
I am disappointed to be getting him a week later, but it eliminates the irk scheduling issue.
Sometimes things work themselves out.
I finished my taxes and somebody at TaxAct looked them over for me and said everything is correct and while they don’t look right, they are right.
Now that I know they are correct I can fill out the paperirk for a property tax credit. I doubt I will qualify, or rather I know I will qualify but I think it won’t make much difference. I make under the maximum amount but I think my property taxes a low enough to not make a difference.
I feel like I am just rolling along getting stuff done today.
And no, we don’t have them here. Yet.
