Crap, I think I left someone out. A little help, please?
asterion (adamanthaea) was in the game tonight, but I don’t remember where he finished. Somewhere between me and Fubbs, I’m pretty sure.
Asterion finished 8th, ahead of Fubbs and me.

I have some questions about the format of the games.
What’s the buyin and blind structure?
Is NLH the “standard” game?
How/when do you play PLO?
It’s always NLH tournament format at PokerStars. Buy-in is 109 “play chips”. It starts at 8:05PM MST Thursdays. I believe It’s explained upthread that you must ask MentalGuy to approve you for membership, but that’s just a formality.
A. 109 Chips buys 2000 chips. Blinds start at 15/30 and get upped every 5 minutes. The blinds increase to
20/40,
25/50,
5/30/60
10/40/80
B. Yes, we used to have another game of PLO/PLH on Saturday but it didn’t count towards the ratings
C. I would love to play some PLO.

Real life pub trivia has gotten me for the stretch of time that I wasn’t working. And just as soon as I had it, I got put back on Thursday nights at work.
If and when I can, I will. Figured I’d pop in to let you guy know I’m still around.
Fwiw, I’m also moving in Janurary. Job will be at two years in Feb.
Not working - that is to say I had a few Thursdays off in a row.
Ah, so it is play money. Is there any interest in making it a real money tournament?
There was a time in the distant past that we did play for real money…but the Feds have clamped down on the poker sites wrt American players and real money tournaments…I’ve been playing with Dopers for about 9-10 years now…and this is the only legitimate way we can keep this Thursday night tournament going.
We do play as if it was real money though…I don’t recall anyone going all-in on the first hand with rags like some other play money tournaments I know of.
“Bragging rights” is almost as good as money.
I had a brain meltdown and forgot that playing poker online is illegal in the land of the free… 
Stoneburg, you (and any others on the fence) are still quite welcome. This may be play money, but we are quite competitive. We play like it is real money.
