"Let's lose with Joe!" what the 2020 campaign slogan should be

So, the new poster is, at a minimum, 97 years old (had to be at least 21 in 1944 to vote for FDR…).

Now that we’re in the Pit, I’ll call you a troll and a rather pathetic one at that. Even the whiniest Bernie Bro on Twitter can generally use proper English.

I was screaming about PA’s importance. I started in October 2015, 13 months before the election:

I was immediately rebuked:

Over the next 12 months, I continued to point out that Pennsylvania was the key tipping state. (Nothing arcane about the deduction: it was self-evident to anyone who understood Nate Silver’s graphics.) Nobody ever agreed with me, but many disagreed.

Sorry, folks. I feel like my services are wasted here. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a suspicion that this “new poster” may not actually be a new poster. But it’s just a suspicion… anyone else share it?

Ummm, your poll isn’t working for me. Also, is it even POSSIBLE to insert a Poll into the middle of an existing thread (okay, when you posted that, it was actually on the END of an established thread, but still)?

That said, that was a really good speech.

The G.O.P. is pouring millions of dollars into influencing obscure, largely left-wing message boards.

Be very afraid.

Traitor Trump (R - Impeached) appreciates your continued support, MAGAtrash.

I know I’m somehow in the mood for a Sloppy Joe.

Not just obscure, largely left-wing message boards but ones that frequently time out.

Maybe if we promised to be nicer to the trolls, the Kremlin would help finance our upgrade.

Gotta love the bros who genuinely believe Sanders is more electable than Biden because pretty much everyone on both their favorite subreddits say so.

Circular logic can work both ways.

Or do we gotta love the corporate dems who say a corporatist is more “electable” because all the corporatist shills/pundits say so?

And yet the majority of the Democrats voted for him over other possible candidates. If your definition of “important” Democratic constituency represents less than half of actual Democrats, I don’t think this word means what you think it means.

As for Biden’s vs Sander’s electability in November I have one question. Who are the voters that are going to put Sander’s over the top, and why didn’t they vote for him in the primary? When the more liberal side of the national electorate was polled, they preferred Biden to Sanders. Let this sink in. The voters in November are going to be a more conservative than those that voted in the primary. If Sanders can’t win when the deck is stacked with those people who would be most likely to support him, how the hell would he win in November?

From whose dryer did this trock fall out?

Well, the corporate shills got the vote out for their candidate, so I’d go with them.

I voted Bernie in our state’s primary (last minute switch from Warren, who I probably prefer overall), but always found the electability arguments in his favor to be thin at best.

Maybe I pay too much attention to polling during primary season, but Biden has generally done better against Trump in H2H matchups. Biden performs very well with white working class and minority voters, and any weakness amongst young voters is counterbalanced by the fact that they don’t actually vote.

It’s really just projection, rose twitter and reddit are convinced that Bernie was more electable just because he was their preferred candidate and not grounded in any actual facts.

You may want to retake 7th grade civics to learn how the electoral college works:smack:

Bernie has issued a public statement telling his supporters that not supporting Biden would be irresponsible.

Thanks Unreconstructed Man. It never ceases to amaze me that every four years Democratic primary voters are somehow convinced that NAFTA-loving, Goldman Sachs-bowing, etc. etc. nominees are the “moderates” that working-class people are just itching to go out and vote for. Especially when those candidates keep losing.

SandersSuckers will still have a childish pity pout because they didn’t get their way.
