Let's plan an Occasion in the MMP!!

Off early, going to hockey in a bit. Got the weekend off.

Feel better, Butters.

Home. **FCD **wants to go out for supper, then to Best Buy for some computer stuff. First we need to decide where we’ll be dining. That’s always the tough part…

as ive said if I was in ga id have to work out a food for labor deal with swampy… I wanted to go out for pancakes today …but since I have to do every thing through committee it didn’t happen as usual…

My guess is you’ll dine at the Cracker Barrel. I love the hash brown casserole

Pizza and sallit have been ingested. Thus National Pizza Day has been celebrated.

Or grab a couple of pickled aigs and Slim Jims from the 7-11 to munch on whilst in Best Buy.

Didn’t know it, but I celebrated, too.

WTH? Is that some sorta do-it-yourself redneck lollipop?

A couple of weeks ago, I untie & go to remove my S.K.'s by untying them, putting my hand on the heel & pulling; my hand & the heel moved but the upper stays on my foot. :frowning:

I went to the Timberland sto in the Maul & told the clerk what happened & asked if they could do anything. She stated to go to the website, print the form under the warranty section & send them back, & that even though the warranty was officially one year, they’ve been known to replace shoes.
Early (before 8am) this moaning, there’s a knock on the door, when I look outside I see the FedEx truck. When I open the door, he’s holding a box from Timberland - Yeah, new shoes! When I open the box, it’s my old shoes, with a note, “We’ve determined they’re out of warranty, sucks to be you.” :frowning: (Okay, so I paraphrased a bit.)

I wouldn’t have even tried to send them back if the clerk in the sto’ didn’t suggest it; now I’ve spent $11.15 to send my shoes on a useless roadtrip.

This is now the second pair (admittedly over many years) that have failed in the sole glue. Now I need to decide if I should repair them, buy a new pair, or buy something else. They are supposed to be waterproof but they really aren’t.

It was Cracker Barrel. I love their Friday fish fry special - haddock! YUM!! He got breakfast for supper. Then we got the Cat5 cable he needed and now we’re home.

I’ve spun the mattress - it’s not the kind that gets flipped - and I changed the sheets. Then we hauled the laundry downstairs and sorted it. Since I always wake before he does, I’ll be able to get it started in the morning without waking him.

The rest of the night, tho, is for chillage. I’ll find something on TV and assume the crochet position. It’s been a long week, and I need some serious chillage.

Glad you’re feeling better butters!

Knocked off early today, grocery shopped, then took Nelson to the dog park. Now I’ typing with one hand because a sleeping puppy is draped accross the other.

Spidey - sounds like a “no” on replacing those. Not waterproof and prone to falling apart. Boooo!

Does nightshade have a mumper name yet? Flower? Anyone?

Anyhoo, nightshade somedays you just gotta put your foot down and say, “tonight it’s my pick and it’s pancakes”. At my house, everyone gets one pick a month. Let me tell you it can be pure hell not saying anything on some of those pick nights.

This has been one long ol’ week. Glad we’re heading into the weekend.

The nightshade vegetable family includes some of my favorites, so I vote for Peppers

Cold, just cold this morning, 3 degrees “Amurrkin” as the distinguished gentleman from GA says…our last visit to GA was to Fort Benning…we were only there for three days, but my favorite meal was shrimp and grits, had pork belly and other wonderful bits in it…

And more snow today, the white mess that fell across Chicago and Detroit yesterday is finishing up on us this evening…I can’t wait for spring…

Happy weekend, everyone!

My friend was telling me today how I am so easily played by my cat…

and my dog…

and my son.

As if I don’t already know.

The back yard is still all ice.
Sah-son went out to shovel and could’t even make a dent in it.
My poor fir tree is still bent in half and frozen.
I hope it thaws out tomorrow, and everything else melts.

I didn’t know today is pizza day, but we had pizza too. Mostly because we need groceries and I’m afraid to walk out to the truck to go get them.
The cat is almost out of treats and the dog is out of easy cheese, which is his reward for being good.
He still brings me the mail and he has figured out if there is more than one piece them he has to make multiple trips and bring it all. He doesn’t always hand it to me though.
We are working on it.
I tried to order groceries today, but the website was screwed up. According to them they were out of everything except produce and bakery items.

I’m having a harder time this round finding schedules and stations and stuff. Got to figure out when they may broadcast the biathlon.

The OW will be gone most of the day tomorrow for a meeting so much walking around and scratching myself will be accomplished.

I love the Olympics.

Slept three hours. This muscle thing is almost debilitating.

Tried to open a jar of salsa and can’t. I hate to wake hubby to open it but I need a midnight snack

you know I cant freakin win …ok after taking a raincheck on the ihop trip no one had an idea on dinner …

We usually have one of my aunts grandkids over so its pizza every Friday …well most of us are tired of pizza …but no one had any idea as mentioned above

well I’m grandfathered in a dominos thing where I get a free 5.99 pizza every so often So I used up one of my free ones and the self appointed keeper of me threw a fit because of how much I ate and what I had on it … never mind her worthless bf ate more than I did

no good deed goes unpunished I guess

Blurf.

Still feelin’ icky, taking the day of irk. Hope I’m OK for Moanday, for wk 3 of irk experience.

Seriously considering booking a holiday to Lanzarote now. I was gonna go to a jugglin’ thing at the end of July, in the Azores, but because there’s so many of us all trying to go on the same day, and all the organised people just booked, all the fight prices have shot up, just for that weekend…

I want to go somewhere new, not too expensive to get to from England, preferably with good snorkling/diving, or interesting wildlife/plantlife. If anyone has better suggestions, feel free to tell me 'em.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 54 Amurrkin out and foggy with a predicted high of 77 and mostly cloudy for the day with rain comin’ in tonight, tomorrow, tomorrow night, and Moanday. We shall see. Today I plan to slow roast the brisket and not much else. I shall go to the Pubic Sto’ to get some of those good frozen rolls and there is a sale on Mayfield ice cream so I see Extreme Moose Tracks ice cream in our future. YUM! I also foresee much Netflix binge watchin’ today.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose I should purtify since I am to go about the public at the Pubic Sto’.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

 I have been remiss!

***Happy Doggio Day!!! *** May your day be full of pucks and beer!

I woke just before 5 but lay in bed for about an hour anna half playing a silly game on my tablet. Since then, I’ve tended to the critters and had my breakfast, and I’m halfway thru caffeinating. As soon as I post this, the first load goes in the washer.

It’s gray and overcast and still in the 30s and generally ick out. From the looks of the forecast, there’s a metric buttload of rain headed this way - supposedly lasting thru Moanday. We need the rain, but it’d be nice to see a little sun, considering I spend my days in a windowless office. Alas, my life is such a challenge… *<pose of woe> *

And barely over 2 months till I’m a grandmother. I may be more excited about this than my daughter is!

Happy Saturday!

That’s 'cause when the kid cries you get to give 'em back.
::Lines up to punch doggio in the arm many times::

The kitchen is tidy… more or less. I emptied the dishwasher, then started refilling it. I’ve wiped down the countertops and cleaned the sinks.

Waiting for drying load #2 to finish. There will be a total of 5 loads today, since I decided to do sheets and since **FCD **wore just about all of his jeans in the course of the week. Doing grubby work means he can’t get 2 days of wearing out of them. Dammit.

After laundry is done, I’ll get on the painting. For now, there’s some time for chillage.
