Actually you have been - feeding the troll, contributing to a Liberal-flaming thread that you probably wouldn’t have bothered to start yourself. The troll wanted to see a group of posters flaming Liberal, and here you have it.
Tricunterate? Not good Latin, but Caesar would still get the gist.
Somebody would have started it. As proven by the fact that someone did after the first one was closed.
Bring on the knife fight!!
Nod. Sometimes I stick around, sometimes I burn out and “take a vacation”. I don’t make a big production out of it, or do a big drama thing. I just go and when I’m in the mood I come back. Nobody gives a shit, and that’s how it should be. I come and I go, and things go on as usual.
As an example, the OP of this thread had noticed Liberal’s return and posted about it in ATMB, but didn’t start a Pit thread until the sock’s thread was closed.
The OP replied “How is the new house” in an old thread. The thread was promptly closed. Another ATMB thread invited anyone who wanted to continue the discussion to open a pit thread. This thread was opened. So he was being played by a sock by following the direction of a mod.
More precisely, the timing was: comment made in ATMB, ATMB thread closed, the person who commented in ATMB (the OP in this thread) didn’t start a BBQ Pit thread, but then a sock started a BBQ Pit thread, that thread was closed, the OP decided to continue the sock thread in the BBQ Pit.
You skipped the step where the OP was following the direction of a mod.
I didn’t say that the poster broke any rules opening this thread. My point was that from the timing, it didn’t seem like the OP would have thought of opening a BBQ Pit thread until the sock opened one.
I can’t say what the OP would or wouldn’t have thought of, but this is one of the problems of disappearing sock threads, IMO. Once the discussion has started and people are involved, you can’t really turn back the clock simply by removing the thread. Asking people not to continue discussions on topics brought up by socks is giving the socks too much power, IMO.
Since the sock’s post was something like 6 hours after Lib started posting, and since the OP here participated in the sock’s thread, it’s kinda hard to say. It’s not like the topic had been sitting around for two weeks, untouched–who knows if he would have started a thread on the topic of Lib’s return? He didn’t have time to since the sock was so quick on the trigger.
Yeah. **Liberal **pissed a bunch of people off by flipping everybody the bird on his way out the door. It’s no surprise he got pitted on his return–he got pitted on his departure for crying out loud.
Sure, we wouldn’t know one way or another if someone else would have started a thread.
Then the “you got played because you’re following up on the sock’s thread” argument doesn’t hold up and Tom is wrong.

I would say “you may or may not have gotten played”. But I could well be wrong. In any case, it’s not really worth me continuing the discussion. Please feel free to carry on with your Liberal pitting without further interference from me.
Well played.
ETA: Oops, my nubbies are showing… multi-page thread. Damnit!
Or sometimes people have real life to attend to first over a stupid message board.
By the time I returned, there was already a nice pit thread running.
I think we all know that **tomndebb **will not be back. That’s not his style. He may come and spin, twist and reinvent his words to make it seem like he didn’t actually say what he did say. But he’ll never admit he fucked up.
As they say, it takes a big man to admit he was wrong. **tomndebb **is not that man.
I’m assuming it’s ok to continue to discuss the lies that Lib told in this now closed thread here.
Lib, I don’t care if you’re lying 'cause you think it’ll help you or if you’re lying because you’re crazy (or dying or have a dead brother who would have won your argument for you) but really, either way, you’re lying so knock it the fuck off, m’kay?
