Lunch was teh num! JDD can put on a spread when he wants to. His mom brought a caramel cake. The icing was like caramel fudge. I has me a big ol’ piece to scarf down later. YUM!
Oh and I cleaned the smoker.
That’s been the extent of my day. It was nice visitin’ with JDD’s family.
I’ve been kinda busy…
Since Saturday morning I have:
Done 5 loads of laundry, and put away 4. The last load is folded and waiting patiently.
I’ve taken two dogs to the park, and one to the groomer. Washed the two dirty dogs.
Made shrimp etoufee and a big ole salad. Did the dishes.
Made breakfast. Did the dishes.
Made the menus and grocery list for the week. Clipped coupons. Groced. (Is too a word!) Back to the grocery store when I opened a package of poke chops and they were kinda ick, so I got a refund.
Thawed out another package of poke chops, and they were good!
Dinner will be grilled poke chops, baked cauliflower and broccoli with a parmesan cheese sauce, and Jacques Pepin Style NOT.
This weekend went by too fast. 
Culinary Boy and I went on an actual date tonight! I got a free dinner up to $50 card for a local restaurant (Frankie Bones) and we decided to make it a dinner date for two. (Computer Boy wanted to have some recluse time, so we brought him some calimari.) Culinary Boy got the prime rib and a strawberry margarita and I had salmon oscar and peach iced tea. Both entrees were declared Ultimate. Computer Boy inhaled the calimari–he loves his squid.
I’m going to work on mystrawberry towel for the rest of the night.
Ugh. Despite my repeated warning and admonitions, the poor little Mickster is getting too fat to make it up the stairs on her own. How to get the message through to my grandparents who think that really good dogs deserve TWO treats when they go outside…
