Life's a beach: A vacation MMP

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 74 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of only 87. Below 90 in mid June? Is the Apocalypse upon us???

Rosie what a jake and  name!

gt those little foxes may be keeeeyooooote but they also may be rabid. Just don’t get too close.

I may or may not ride the east forty today. I need to just don’t want to because it’s a drive through miles and miles of nuttin’. We shall see.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. Woe is me.

Happy Firday Y’all!!! It’s Firday!!! YAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

Up, caffeinated, off to irk. I wish I was off to the beach.

My bum hurts. I wanna go to the beach and warm it up.

Today will definitely be a better day. Definitely. Today, I will get to have a shower.

Bye.

This would be a perfect beach weekend, if I went to the beach. Forecat is 95 Saturday and Sunday. Those temps make me totally stabby.

I was convinced today was Sunday when I woke up. It isn’t. Drats.

On teh Wonder Pony front, he had another injection in a different joint and he feels muchmuch better. See, money can buy me (and him) happiness!

How nice of you. I’d give him a buck for his next bottle of Thunderbird and tell him to get lost. Or maybe you could get him a puppy.

Bobbbbio, that is just totally strange, but at the same time cute. LOL Puppies for Bums!

I am baking some banana bread this morning - this is my second try at it, the first attempt earlier this week deflated and was a bit undercooked in the middle. Hopefully, appropriate adjustments have been made and we’ll have truly edible and incredibly delicious banana bread this time.

LiLi, I am totally empathetic with you - I cannot begin to imagine how you can juggle 4 kids. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Gosh, the girls are growing too, btw!

And finally it’s FIRDAY; I hope everyone is going to have a good weekend. Happy Father’s Day, as appropriate, btw.

Good morning everyone.

I wasn’t planning on taking my RDO, but in the end I did. I’m glad too, I’m just worn out. So many fires and I didn’t start any of them. However, it was up to me to put them out. :dubious:

I’ve got chores, grocery shopping and some bill paying to do today. That’s about it.

Mawnin all,
Hope all is well in Mumper land
About to tear into my front forks, because I am tired of beating myself to death while riding the MC
MOOOOMEnjoy yer purty dresses
That’s all for now

Last night, I drove around spending too much money buying food and booze for the party this evening. Then cooked until a little past 10. Made candy, punch (which is really frikking good, OMG), started tea-steeped eggs that I’ll devil this afternoon, fresh pickles. Also cleaned the bathroom (more or less. The bathtub needs doing, but I just drew the shower curtain and said fuck it) and picked up a lot, although there’s more to do.

I have three or four other things I’m making this afternoon, including one thing that I’m trying to decide if I want to find an optional ingredient for.

And your gross out moment of the day: my bathroom sink is very shallow and high up (you don’t have to bend down at all to wash your face-type high). I looked down yesterday, right into the overflow hole. It’s full of hair. EEEEWWWW. I have no idea how to fix that besides ‘DON’T LOOK’.

Howdy Y’all! I’m at irk after travelin’ the east forty. No one else is here so it is wonderfully quiet! YAAAAAAAY!!! I will either get stuff done or screw around all afternoon. Decisions, decisions…
ShinyCat put up a sign in the bathroom that says, “don’t look in the overflow hole it’s gross!” so that you’re guests will be sure and look. That way you’ve provided the party entertainment. Have a fun and great party!

God no.

Actually my over-sensitive gag reflex is acting up really bad right now. I’m not sure why. It’s very annoying because one of the things that can trigger it is eggs. And I love deviled eggs. And I’m making some for tonight. I will be sad if I can’t eat more than one.

ShinyCat I, too, am devoted to Satan’s Ovaries. Yummy goodness are they!

It has been decided that dindin shall be pizza. Now all I can think about is pizza. How can I be expected to be productive when there’s pizza in my future?

Well I got sidetracked and ended up at the Drivers License office, that ate my day and I shall give up on accomplishing anything else today. Pizza and beerverages sound like an excellent use of my time.

That is all

JIM

XXXXXXXXX-hausted!!! Whew, what a day!

We got to the boat early to finish cleaning it before the broker arrived (noonish, he said. ) He called around noon-thirty and said it’d be closer to 1:30-2 before he’d get there. Shortly after 2, he called to say he was leaving Prince Frederick, about 20 miles away. It was past 2:30 when he finally showed up. And it was pretty apparent to me that he really wasn’t interested in handling the sale of our boat. He did say he’d do some research and email us info about what similar boats have sold for lately. And he recommended a friend who sold older boats like ours. But mostly, he just chatted. And for that, we pretty much wasted our whole day.

Well, not totally wasted. We did talk about what we’d perhaps be willing to do in order to sell the boat. And we talked about maybe putting it into charter. And we talked about maybe not selling till **FCD **was ready to retire. Yeah, I know, I know. When we think about what has to be done, we want to be rid of the thing, but when we spend time on it, we don’t want to give it up. Stoopit boat. Anyway, I’m going to investigate chartering and we’re going to make a list of things that need to be done to figure out what it’ll cost to get the “must do” things done. The broker did say those things would really raise the value of the boat. So we shall see…

We came home, showered, and went out for Messican food - muy yummo! Now we’re home, pooped out, and planning to veg the evening away.

As to the dresses - I don’t know. I must be insane. I just got to thinking that it might be nice to have a few dresses, and I went to a site where a LOT of different dresses were on sale, and I found 4 that I rather liked. And I got all 4 delivered to my door for a whopping $104 - that’s like $26 per dress. Kinda hard to lose. So there ya go. I may actually be seen in public in a dress. Can you imagine?!?!?! I’ll need to get some sandals, tho. Loafers won’t work with at least 2 of them.

And, better late than never - Happy Firday!!!

Howdy Y’all! We et pizza then went to OYKW’s place to mow his yahd. It needed mowin’ bad! Then we cleaned up and went to Sam’s where I bought a few things I needed and got gas for both vehicles and the gas cans. Back at da cave now and exhaustated! I’m thinkin’ it’ll be an early night.

MOOOOOOM you need heels and a string of pearls to go with those dresses. You’ll also need a supply of starched white aprons for that total housewife look. :stuck_out_tongue:

Lemme tell ya what yo do with that there starched white apron! :stuck_out_tongue:

Put it on and make cookies?

Uh oh SWAMPY, MOOOOOOMis going to ground you if you keep that up

JIM

Banished at work, grounded here; swampy you better straighten up & fly right!

but yours has reusable ammo, I presume; mine went from potatoes to potato pancakes!
Was today National Say Something Stupid & Random to Someone on a Bike Day?
Three of us were on the trail this morning, when I go straight & into the street* (which is 1½ blocks long & solely for accessing two parking lots & one parking garage) as opposed to making an S turn to stay on the trail, which is broken up there. At the far end is a cross street, so we all slow down. There is a guy standing there who says to us, “you’re looking pretty ragged, you better straighten up”. Then when I’m going up the big hill towards home, some guy driving down the hill leans out the window of his Subaru & shouts, “Push it”
