But what nobody really addresses: who the @!#?@! is supplying her with alcohol? I remember the celebrity section of the newspaper talking about how she was partying with various older celebrities at all-hours bars in NYC. So why weren’t these places shut down for having a minor in them, much less serving her alcohol? Or the adults arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor? Or her mother for letting her minor child out that late in NYC?
Sadly, she seems to have taken the early Drew Barrymore path of child stardom. Hopefully she can turn herself around like Barrymore did as well.
I feel sort of sorry for her. She’s just a kid with a worthless mother.
I guess it’s hard to control your kid if they support you, and I think she likes to party as much as her daughter. I don’t hold out a lot of hope for her, and it’s a shame.
Damn straight. The idea that she and her PR people are using attendance at a program as publicity is disgraceful. Clearly she missed the meetings where the idea of anonymity was discussed.
There all kinds of meetings in a given area day in and day out. Some mainly attended by the homeless and the hopeless and others are literally a small group of highly successful people. Anyone can start a meeting so I would guess there are special groups to the stars (observe the large venues closely some time)
Lindsay may not technically be a minor, but I’m surprised a cop hasn’t followed her into a bar just to revoke a liquor license (or whatever they can do for serving underage drinkers). That would put the fear of God into the bar owners.
Actually, the news had leaked that she was in AA before they said anything. There were reports flying around from people saying they say her, also saying she talked about going to Narcotics Anonymous.
A few weeks ago she was photographed wearing an AA (90 day?) chip around her shirt. She said it was a friend’s. The rumors started again.
Yesterday (or maybe the day befor) her mom was on the Ryan Seacrest show and let it slip that La Lohan had been attending meetings, but that she is in a good place and people should leave her alone.
Then the publicist released a statement. What was she supposed to do? Mom and had already spilled the well known beans.
And there’s one more where she’s standing there slumped over in some flesh colored undies and only flesh colored undies, but I wont link to that. I don’t want to get in trouble.
