We see this time and again, and I’m always revulsed by the type of human beings (but only in the loosest sense) that such a soceity* builds. You suspect your little girl has been violated, so you kill her? And then, according to law, only the victim’s father, you, can call for the death penalty, so you’re safe?
Some people are not fit for breeding. Whatever bad happens to this monster, wherever he ends up, I will not shed a tear. It’s not right, and I know it, but I could easily turn my head the other way as this pile of shit is tortured mercilessly for years on end.
*By soceity, I don’t mean specifically Muslim soceity, but any soceity that so marginalizes women. Look in our own backyard (U.S.); they’re here too. We may not get beheadings like this, but to certain sects, women are not even up to second class citizen status. Think Yates.
Well, if you read the article, it looks like the Iranians are just as horrified by what this guy did as we are. And nowhere in the article does it say that the guy won’t be punished…remember, he has been arrested and charged for murdering his daughter…it just says that he found a loophole out of getting the death penalty. That’s not unique to Iran…a lot of people murder family members here, also, without getting the death penalty.
This quote would have made me laugh out loud if the circumstances weren’t so tragic, "‘The motive behind the killing was to defend my honor, fame, and dignity,’ the paper quoted the father as saying. "
(emphasis mine) This is not any sort of human that has any reason not to spend the rest of his days on Earth suffering unspeakable torments. A little girl is potentially raped and he is worried about his fucking honor. I wish I could be the one with the clue stick banging it into his sorry head that he has no honor or dignity, but he sure has become infamous.
In Conceivable, here he would plead an insanity defense. And even if he is insane, there is no place for someone so clearly dangerous in any soceity of humans.
according to the link provided, the father in question will also be tried etc. He apparently won’t be subject to the DP through a technicality, but the same is true in the US, depending on which state one is in.

Why do I get the impression from this article that if the girl had been raped then the locals over there would not be calling for the father to be hanged. That is even sadder still.
I’m not really up on Iranian or Shariah law, but maybe in Iran, a person can only be put to death for murder if the murdered person’s family requests it? And since the father was the girl’s next of kin and legal guardian, legally, he would have to request it.
