Live from Raleigh, It's The MMP!

Packing continues at an alarming pace.

It’s funny to see how box labeling degrades as you go on.

The first box says
Christmas china serving pieces - platters, sugar/creamer, soup tureen, large bowls

Later on, we get
Kitchen bowls

Towards the end of the night
Guest Room

Guessing that’s decorative things from the guest room as the room itself is attached to the house so we can’t take it.

I didn’t mention that VWife very nearly did not live through Thursday night. Somebody must have secretly put speed in her Percocet, because she decided that 10:30 PM was a good time to start cleaning out the kitchen cabinets. Herself. Just so you know how out of character that is, her usual MO is to make an executive finding that The Cabinets Must Be Cleaned and Reorganized, then watches from the couch while I do the work for her.

Honest to Og, I could not decide if I should beat her to death with a shovel, or dig my sleeping and bivy bags out of the closet and go sleep in someone else’s back yard.

Be glad she wasn’t on Fentanyl. That’s the stuff that drove DH to start pulling up the laundry room floor at 11 PM last year.

I did. It was good. It was French Vanilla.

I’m listening to the radio and working on a music arrangement now.

Up and caffeinated Gotta get my oil changed ,and go to the feed store for Gordie’s food. Then copious amounts of hockey.

Last box: assorted shit.

Did she at least alphabetize her spices? And glad to hear the liver’s good.

Good luck saling, Mooommmmm!

Happy Purging Day. rosie!

Midget, it’s always coffee time!

Why oh why do I do this to myself

I am watching Prison Wives and I just want to reach through the TV and slap those dumb women.
Mom and I had breakfast together, so there is that.

A summary:

-Two out of three interviews seemed pretty good
-One of the interviews got messed up and was actually scheduled for the day before, but it was obvious that I didn’t know it since it’s about a 2 hour drive from here to there and they agreed to see me even on the ‘wrong’ day.
-The sump pump at our house is not working.
-Went to the HFUNs last night for a sweet 16 party for Dave’s younger niece.
-Have tons of paperwork to do today
-Have lots of silverware stuff to make since I have a show next weekend
-Have to do without sleep, next weekend Dave’s son invited me to free comic book day (which is from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. the night before my show)
That’s all, I think.

I skimmed mostly and sorry to hear about all the craziness, sari and glad to hear that your numbers are better VBob.

Please forgive my grammar and sentence structure or lack thereof.

Ok, I’m off to work now.

This is the epitome of an awesome woman! Hubby’s been away for a few days & what does she do when he comes home; spritz on a little “TV Channel #5” toilette water; nope, uh uh. She makes a good meal & puts on a bit of every redneck male’s favorite perfume: Essence du Hickory Smoke.

This from a teacher?!?!

:stuck_out_tongue:

So at :32, I decide to do the local race that starts at :00; in only 28 mins! Fly thru getting ready, drive over there, find a parking space, run to start area, sign up, go to take off my warmup pants & oh $#!*, uh-uh, this isn’t an undie race. In my haste to get ready, I never put on shorts! :smack: :frowning:
Race starts, I go out strong as we go around the park, past the LL field (where I hear a quite frustrated coach, admonishing the 6-7 yo, “Watch the field, not the runners!” :smack: :o ), then we go three sides around a block when all of a sudden, I see about 20 runners coming from my left; they did only one side around the block. I dunno what happened, but they just did about ⅓ mile less! There was a couple of people directing us; did they all just walk away? :smack: :smack:

Mowage had been completed. I am happy to report the church yahd, OYKW’s yahd, and da cave yahd are all shorn. I am also tahred! We had hotdawgs from The Hot Dog King for N.O.L. Chili, cheese, onion slaw dawgs to be exact. It shall be combustible in da cave anytime now.

BBBobbio yay for good numbers and an attackless gall bladder!

Ace sounds like hubby and you are havin’ quite the busy day yourselves.

StickyBuns yay for good interviews!

gotti yay for what sounds like good headway in packin’ up! Two years ago I unpacked the last box from the move into da cave. I moved in da cave in 1996.

I shall now go surf teh intartoobz. Or take a nap.

Done. Not a very impressive take: $92.90. But added to the $243 from the other day almost makes it better. And there was one guy very interested in the hard dinghy - he took my number, just in case he decides he wants it. We shall see. I’ve got 4 boxes for goodwill, a big pile of boat stuff that I’m going to offer to a friend who works with the Sea Scouts, unless I can find a local group, and a few things I’m going to post in local classifieds, just because. We shall see how that goes.

And I met my neighbor. We knew the husband, but we’d never met the wife. She and some friends came over, and surprise, surprise, she’s got another baby! Their oldest is around 3 or so, and the n00b is about 2 months.

I just finished eating some lunch - all I had from 6 this morning till a few minutes ago was a banana - I was hongreeeee! I’ll rest a wee bit, then I need to load the freebie foam into the truck so I can take it to the convenience center. I also need to fetch my sign from Rt 5. And the rest of the day will be spent in slothage. I need to mow the front yard - I’ll save that fun for tomorrow.

I’s tahred!!

Just got an email. I did not get the job that I expected not to get. I suspect that they already had someone and had to run interviews anyways. The submission period for resumes was only a week long (as opposed to usually a month or more) and the interview in it’s entirety including thoughtful questions from me lasted 15 minutes. Glad I drove an hour and 20 minutes for that.

Oh well. Onward and upward.

Liz and Ard appear to be gettin’ frisky on the back porch. I do believe there’s some hot lizard lovin’ takin’ place right there on the concrete floor!

StickyBuns their loss I say.

For anyone who hasn’t taken a look in the **Pit **recently **Sari **gave a thumping good pit on her sister there!

I heartily approve!

A local television station has this on it’s news web site:

We are detecting adblock software on your computer. Please consider adding us to your list of approved sites. Our entire website will always be free for our readers, and our ads are used to support local businesses. Should you have any concerns regarding advertisements, please contact us

Alas, there is no “screw you” button to click.

flytrap did you check for a “bite me” button?

I am actually allowin’ OYKW to gasp use the grill. gasp He’s goin’ to grill burgers for tonight’s dindin while I do for real homemade fries in my deep fryer. I am proud of myself because I’ve gotten so much better about stuff like that. Go Me!

Now I must be off to the pit to read sari’s thread. I sense much pitworthy goodness to be read!

4 bags normal trash and two bags of shredded old bills and bank stuff. more to follow.

Rory is inspected and oil changed. Gordie is walked, into hour #3 of 10+ hours of hockey. You can tell it’s Spring in Raleigh, the doors are falling off the Jeeps.

“Those who can, do. Those who can’t do, teach”(Just kidding, sticky!)

Sorry you didn’t get the job you drove 2 hours to not get, sticky

Cathartic, isn’t it?
FCM, $92.90? Keg and Baconfest at Fairy Chat Estates!

I read your Pitting, sari. I admire your restraint. I’d be borrowing rosie’s shreder and garbage bags.

It’s about time! **Mom promised to show off her new countertops ages ago. They can handle some bacon grease!

Yes, I’m way overdue in hosting something. Maybe I’ll plan an event for next month or so. Gotta talk to spousal unit.

Speaking of whom, he plans to get home on Weds. Fingers crossed

Supper is really easy and weird - crab spread on crackers and sliced cucumbers with salt. And fruit punch flavored drink. Yeah, weird, but easy. Like my men.

My feet hurt. I’ve got a massaging foot bath thingie - I need to see if I can find it. That’ll be my big excitement this evening.

I found pulled poke at the grocery store so I made the executive decision to get some and call it dinner. It’s molasses-based, but it ain’t half bad. Not as good as vinegar-based but acceptable.

Perhaps you should concentrate on massage ability rather than weird and easy.

Just sayin’.
