Live from Raleigh, It's The MMP!

Not if she really really wants to sell it

There used to be a company around here that supported people who were selling their homes without using a realtor

Their signs said ‘FOR SALE WITH OWNER’

I always wanted to call and inquire about the price without the owner, or if I elected to keep the owner what services would they provide.
Maybe they would handle all the upkeep and maintenance since they are already familiar with the house.

So groceries have been delivered and put away.
Paperwork had been printed, signed and sent.
We got an extension on the home inspection. I haven’t heard about the termite repairs, what way that is going to go. According to my documents the seller isn’t paying for it, according to the seller documents they are - something got screwed up there. The catch-22 of they won’t pay for repairs until after settlement vs the mortgage won’t be approved until after the repairs, I have no idea what is going on there.

I haven’t even started laundry, or gotten myself cleaned up, or ordered the pizza.
I know I’ve been busy but I sure couldn’t tell you what I have been doing.

I just emptied some stuff out of the red shed - maybe 1/4 of all the crap in there. I’m going to start sorting for the yard sale before bringing more in - there’s a lot of crap to be sorted. But, I hope, some money to be made…

I’ve bought a replacement mirror online and replaced it. It is just bolts and an electrical connector. Fear not. As much as you help out at Church, I’m sure that someone is knowledgeable about that sort of thing and give you directions.

Bolts and an electricical connector? Why must everything be so complicated! I actually have put out a couple of queries to a couple of my more auto savvy buds. Lest y’all think I’m sexist, one of those buds is a woman who knows a lot of stuff about basic auto repair/replacement stuff. She’s been known to take payment in drinks, a home cooked meal and laughin’ our hiney’s off over a silly movie. We have fun together!

In other news, I am mean. I know cause I was told I’m mean yet again. However, when I request sump’n of somebody, then request it again with “I really need you to do this”, then request yet again with a “Really you have to do this because if you don’t it will result in your being placed on leave of absence until it’s done”, and followed up with it’s still not done and I have to place said non-doer on leave of absence, I’m told I’m mean.

It’s clouding over and from the looks of the weather radar, rain is on the way. I’ve been doing some research, trying to figure out how to price some of my stuff - I don’t want to cheat myself and I don’t want to ask too much. I hate that I’ll be doing this alone - no chance for a pee break or anything. Maybe I should invite my sister to come see me on Sat…

Thanks to all for the prayers and good thoughts for my cousin. I haven’t heard anything yet today and I’m hoping for the “no news is good news” adage in that case.

It has been “right warm” in Albuquerque, up into the 80s; at least we had a “breeze” last night. And it’s still cool in the evening. Later in the week, we’ll be back to more normal temps for this time of year (mid-70s), at least I hope. My apartment complex doesn’t turn on the swamp coolers (air conditioners) until mid-May! We’re going to shop around for some floor fans!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day. And thanks again for the prayers, and keep my cousin in them, please.

Howdy from da cave! I’m all through bein’ traumatized over the mirror. I have been assured that all shall be well. Just so I’ll know, I am goin’ to the Ford place tomorrow to get an idea on what it would cost and if just the mirror needs replacement (that’s what’s broken) or do I have to go with the whole thing. I shall also surf teh intartoobz to check out the cost of replacements.

MOOOOOOM it’s gettin’ all cloudy here too. The weather PTB say there’s a forty percent chance of rain this evenin’. Ye Olde Hometowne is gettin’ rain as I post and it could be headed this way. ICK! We don’t need rain right now.

In a while I shall grill up some boneless chikin boobs for grilled chikin sallits. YUM!

It’s raining here and the air smell so pretty.

I got my new bluetooth today. I just got a new bluetooth a few weeks ago and I don’t like it. This one seems pretty nice even if it was hard to get out of the no hassle packaging. It’s very comfortable and it talks to me. As soon as I took it out of the package it started telling me what to do. It’s supposed to have some special apps to download as well. I don’t want fancy, I just want comfie that works.

Pizza has been ordered. I still haven’t put the laundry in, lazy me. I keep getting distracted by other stuff and I’m not getting anything done.

**Swampy ** those people calling you mean? Send them to me, I’ll teach them what mean really is.

Swampy don’t forget to check the junk yards/recycling centers. When I needed a new taillight for my old car it was $300 from the dealer and $100 from the recycling center. The junk yard would have been even cheaper but they didn’t have one.

Just like The Voices do to me!

There are no mirrors in junk yards; they all get knocked off.

I side swiped a trash can at about 50, sheered the sucker right off. $200 as I recall for the mechanicker verker to replace it.
Some so and so whacked the same mirror off in a parking lot. I googled “side mirror 2000 Grand AM”, found one for $40 and put it on. The most difficult part was finding the bolts under the inside molding. I thought those little round things were tweeter speakers.

it’s a calzone sort of evening

Calzones can be cool.

Long story, but today was kind of a wasted day for me. The only good thing that happened today is that I now have a top-of-the-line, state-of-the-art ligature for my E-flat clarinet. Set me back a pretty penny, though.

I need to get up extra early tomorrow and haul my butt on down to a certain place to try to do a certain thing. I don’t want to say too much about it yet.

Calzone take me away! What? That’s the first thing that popped into my haid.

We had an early, quick and nummy dindin. OYKW et then left cause he’s got paperirk stuff to deal with poor thing.

I think we got about 12 raindrops. :frowning:

Veggie beef soup is almost done. I’m watching TV and working on a shawl. Quiet, boring afternoon - it’s nice.

Howdy y’all. I went and got my grays covered and a trim to my hair. Partaking of a few beers. Spaghetti for supper and hubby is cooking. I am doing some laundry and a little straightening up around the house.

Swampy. Sucks about the truck mirror. Hope you get it fixed for not too much.

Prayers for Herbs cousin Donna.

Mmmooommmm. Good luck with selling all your stuff.

Time for TV and crocheting. MWAH!

No rain yet but real cloudy out. I’m all sinusy and sniffly as well. Think it might be Benadryl[sup]TM[/sup] and beddybye time soon.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Worked. We had a Booster Club Board meeting. Long story short, the Club is out of hiatus, and I’m back on the board.

Habs swept the Series, so it’s not a complete waste.

Sari, “For Sale With Owner”? If she’s cute, yeah I’ll pay market price.

: waves at gt : Go Blue Jackets!

We made it till 5 before Higgs decided she had to get up. Silly me - thinking I could get her to lie back down for another hour or so. When my side of the bed (with me in it) became the battleground for Higgs vs. Taz, I knew it was a lost cause. So I’m up.

I think today is going to be sorting-and-pricing day. I started with one basket last night, just for the heck of it - half of it went into the trash, and I expect that may well happen with other boxes and baskets. Glad my trash cans are empty! Oh, and I got an email asking if I’d be selling any gold jewelry. At a yard sale? Really?

Today is also when **FCD **drives his folks to Duke. FIL’s pre-op is tomorrow, and surgery is Firday. Assuming all goes well, they’ll return to Ocala on Sat. MIL’s surgery is on Tues. And that’s the old folks’ medical update.

Suddenly, all the critters are quiet and snoozing. Of course - I’m wide awake now and caffeinating. Stoopit critters.

Happy Wednesday anyway!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 61 Amurrkin out and foggy with a predicted high of 83 for the day. NICE! Well, except for the pollen it’s nice. Stoopid pollen.

I shall start the day by goin’ by the Ford place to get a price on replacin’ my lamented side view mirror. I’ve also been lookin’ online. Might also ask a couple local body shops for a price. I just want ideas.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. Let’s see who I can be mean to today.

Happy Hump Day Y’all! Just. Does. Not. Get. Old. Plus, Sean just lurves that commercial. :stuck_out_tongue:

I had a no good verry bad terrible irk day yesterday. I think I am moving to the moon! We have a bad boss, she is a yeller. We all usually irk very well together and help eachother out to mitigate the screaming, most of the time its futile but we try. One co-irker got a case of the bad attitudes and rained on everyone during an just us team meeting where we were trying to figure out a very vauge tasking from Yeller boss. He has had a serious case of the bad attitudes for the last year or so and we are all tired of him taking it out on us. Meeting was a disaster. Very nice co-irker who usually puts up with almost everything, walked out of the meeting after 30 minutes of non-productive nastiness. Alot of the non-cooporativeness was directed at me. I went back to my desk and cried and then left for the day. Bad attitude co-irker texted an apology to me and promised to apologize today in person. I will due my utmost to be professional about accepting the apology, but I think that for a while my attitude will be cool towards him. I am over him dumping his frustration about yeller boss back at us.

At least there is sushi to look forward to tonight right?
