Long time in the MMP

Romeo Jr. can barely see out the window. Juliet Jr. could be helpful, but only if I’m hanging out into the street already. Those snowbanks are closing in on 6 feet tall at the end of the driveway.

Waiting for the plumber
I hope it is a simple matter of snaking out the line but I am so scared it is going to involve digging up the yard and replacing pipe
He can also look at the dishwasher and if it is just the intake line he can fix that too.
If not, then I need to get a separate repair person for that.

No, **Juliet **- I meant send 'em out into the road with a hand-held stop sign! It’ll build character!

Maybe that’s why my Mother-Of-The-Year award hasn’t arrived yet???

If you can provide pictures, preferably nude, we’ll be happy to provide our expert opinions?

**ruble **- Why would you want to see nekkid pics of 20-something guys? Do you want to tell us something?? :dubious:
:stuck_out_tongue:

The plumber is on his way
YAY!
I hope it is only a few hundred dollars, not $10,000 or whatever it costs to dig up the front? yard.

Fingers crossed for you Sari. The joys of home ownership.

Speaking of home I am almost at the point where I am going to start tidying up my space and pack it in for the day.

WTF!!!

He can’t fix it because the clog is on the neighbor’s side and she isn’t home so I can’t ask her if he can go into her house to fix it.

Who the hell built duplexes with shared plumbing!!!

So he just left, he found the clean out thing outside but the clog is between the house and the street and he can’t do anything without access to the neighbor’s basement.

WTF!!!

I tried getting ahold of her, but she isn’t home and she isn’t answering her cell phone.

I’m going to buy some main cleaner and see if that works.

We’ve got a Big-Ass Hole in our back yard - photos on FB. **FCD **said they took 4 truckloads of stumps and trunks, and there are several trunks still sitting in the yard. Nothing will happen tomorrow, thanks to the snow and subsequent rain, but maybe they’ll be able to start bringing in the fill material by Firday.

Supper will be the ham steak I’ve been thinking about making for the last week. Sides will be some sort of veggie, and mac-n-cheese, and I’ll cook the ham in pineapple chunks. Sounds healthy, yes?

I read that as big asshole, and wondered why OAOASO was at your house.

**sari **- you crack me up!

Sahirrnee, when my parents bought their 1928 fixer-upper in 1969, it had been empty for half a decade. Then the cloths washer started to back up. After some frantic research to find the access to the clean-out, in the coal scuttle, we ended up extracting a very drowned tree rat, AKA a squirrel. Shortly thereafter, my parents saw the wisdom of rearranging the soil pipes downstairs, and connecting to the city sewer. We never found the cesspit the house was using for 40 years. We rodded out the outflow pipe, but nothing showed up in repeated excavations around the house for other projects.

Do you own half a duplex?

It will probably cost a small fortune to reroute all the plumbing.
I am really upset because we had the flood, then everything was okay for a day or so, then the flooding started again, and now it is much worse.
I have a sink full of dirty dishes that I can only wash a few at a time, I have no idea how I am going to get a shower, I guess in shifts. At least the laundry tub was emptying, slowly, but it was emptying. Now it’s not emptying at all.

Yes, Flytrap, it is half a duplex.
I guess the code back then allowed for this kind of shit.

Howdy Y’all! I got a bunch accomplished today. Did church stuff, did laundry, ahrned some shirts and made sup which is now all et up and the kitchen cleanded up. Go Me!

Sari sorry about the plumbin’ woes. Hope the fix is not too expensive or bad.

Really! That’s shtick!

Y’all are making me glad it’s just calling an apartment office when there are plumbing or electrical issues. :stuck_out_tongue:

Last night, i had a long, weird dream that I actually remembered. I dreamed that I had purchased a childhood neighbor’s house, except it was in the foothills of the Cumberland Plateau where I lived a few years back. A former boss (former tavern owner turned preacher) was planning on getting married (he’s been married for thirty something years now) and wanted to do so in his mother’s home (in this dream, that was now my house. he lives in his late mother’s Victorian). In my home, there was a stage in one room and one in a cave out back. I’m not sure what made me dream this far out of the realm, but it’s kind of funny in my awake state. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sahirrnee, my parents bought one half of a duplex for my grandma to live there and it had the same thing. They actually share both the water and sewer.

Yesterday was Lantern Festival. My son painted a lantern at school so they walked around with it. It was mostly cloudy, but occasionally the super moon would shine through.

Does the other part not have plumbing problems? I would think they would help pay for it.

SIL fell twice in class this evening, so they called an ambulance and **FCD **took Daughter to fetch their call and head to the ER. Supposedly his blood sugar was screwed up. That was about 3 hours ago. They just got out of the waiting room and into an exam room.

I honestly believe SIL’s major problem is his shitty diet. He practically lives on sugary cereals and microwave popcorn. His doc told him he’s dehydrated, but he won’t drink water. He’s a 30-y/o idiot.

I just got Roxy to bed - she fought it, but I think I did a good job of tiring her out before her bedtime bottle. Hope she stays asleep - I can’t take off tomorrow - I have some stuff I need to get done first thing.

I need to go to bed. I’m dragging.
