We scrounged for supper. Hubs had leftover sketties and I had a pimento cheese sammich - a Palmetto cheese sammich. That stuff is good. Swampy you should try it.

Wait ------ maybe I should rephrase that. 
We bought a replacement part for our trailer’s refrigerator earlier this month, and it came in a couple of days ago. Our landlord did some reading, figured out how to install it, and did so. Remind me again why I paid the appliance repairman $79.50 to come in, look at it for five minutes, and decide it couldn’t be fixed?

TWPTB are willy-nilly on this yet again. Today I shall lay in provisions and go over to the church house to haul the biiiiiiiiiiiiig trash cans down to the road for pick up tomorrow. I shall purchase some shrimpies for tonight’s sup of shrimpies 'n grits with some sort of vegetative side matter.
Flipper maybe cause TVCTPMO was out in force the day the repairman came? Maybe he thought the fridge was really old and nor worth the repair. Anywho, glad it’s workin’ again.
Butters I have to make my own pimento cheese. Southern mamas and grandmamas everywhere would judge me if I didn’t. Nobody wants to endure southern mama and grandmama judgements! :eek:
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, oh bother of bothers, I must needs purtify and don appropriate goin’ about the public attire. Why must life be so hard!

Gonna be a long day. Even tho I got to bed about 9-ish, I couldn’t fall asleep because I was worried that I wouldn’t hear Roxy if she woke up. I tossed and turned till I heard my daughter get home, then I was finally able to drop off - close to midnight. Then I kept waking up.
It’s snowing. The roads are just wet and I saw plows staged along the way - with luck, I won’t have problems getting home. We shall see. We live off the main state road thru our county, and it’s always cleared. As long as it doesn’t get icy, I’ll be good.
Meanwhile, a lot more crap got dumped on my desk last night. Gonna be busy here.

It’s snowing, and then supposed to be in the 50s tomorrow.
I am regretting that we didn’t get groceries on Moonday
because now so much is up in the air.
I caught up with my neighbor last night and she is supposed to get back to me today about when she can be home to let the plumber in.
Schools are closed today, so she has the day off, but she may have to babysit for her niece, if the niece has to go in to irk.
She can’t do it tomorrow, and she says maybe Firday.
She says this happened before when there were tenants living here, so she has been through this before.
If the plumber has to come out on the weekend it will cost me more.
The estimate is anywhere from $350-$1100, depending on what is going on over there.
I think I may take the day off today, I am pretty upset.
The basement is a mess, it’s starting to stink. My son is running up and down the stairs all day long, carrying the water up to dump it outside.
Even if the neighbor can let him in today, with the snow, how do I know if the plumber can make it out today?
So, I don’t know anything until she calls me, if she does.
That she hasn’t fixed the missing window for over 4 years doesn’t give me much hope that she will care about fixing this either.
She seemed very sympathetic last night when I told her we can’t even flush the toilets, but who knows. She seemed really sympathetic about the window too and that hasn’t been fixed.
(((((Sari))))) Irking of course. Tis Wednesday already though and I am off on Firday to go to the Dr. on the mainland with hubby.

Finally talked to the neighbor, she is home for a litte bit this morning.
I called roto-rooter and they are on the way.
Got them right before they were closing for the day.
I need my son to go out and clear out the stuff in front of her basement door, it’s too heavy for me to lift.
This is all very stressful for me and for her, because she does need to go watch her niece’s kids today and tomorrow.
I know I’m rambling.
The neighbor on the other side shoveled all of our walks, mine and the neighbor on the other side.
Pretty nice of him, he said the roads are horrible.
Also offered to move his car so the plumber can park in front of my house.
So they got here quickly, now they have to get permission from the landlord because it might crack their pipes…
anyway, they are a lot cheaper, like $240 dollars.
Sari, here’s to hoping they can fix it soon. And if not, I guess it’s baby wipe baths and dry shampoo for you! I hope it’s not something like a tree root that got into your pipes. That happened to my sister and it was not cheap.
It’s snowing again… 3-6 inches by the time I get done with work. I don’t mind the snow; it’s the snow days I’m not a fan of. I’m hoping if they do something stupid like close school early that my father-in-law can get my daughter. I have too much work to miss a half-day. And with that, it’s back to irk.
Many area skools cxl’d last night but only within the last few minutes have the first flakes began to fall (from the sky, I don’t mean mumpers taking a tumble). 2-4" before changing to sleet, freezing rain, & then rain.
Hurry up & fall faster because I wanna roll a fattie. 
I elected to irk from home because afternoon commute is forecasted to be baaad. Just turned up the heat in the house because I forgots to earlier. (Programmable thermostat is set for lower during the day when no one is typically here.)

I tried calling the city but they are closed today
I can’t get the pipes cleaned out without the landlord’s permission, and I can’t get it until who knows when because the asshole isn’t answering the phone
So I called the management company and raised all kinds of hell
The plumbers have left, done for the day, so the soonest I can get it fixed is tomorrow
I am beyond pissed way beyond pissed
We have a couple lovely inches of snow but --------- any moment now it is going to switch to rain and a fair bit of rain and the resulting ice. Not my happiest day ever.
Oh, and today marks seven years since I last had a drink.
Things were spiraling out of control. I still had my family, but that may not have lasted longer.
Getting sober was tough, but I’m very happy to have done it.
Snow has turned to rain - of course it has. I remembered to grab my boots and the snow brush before I left home.
On the plus side, I can stop for groceries on the way home without worrying about whether the parking lot is clear. Yay!

Good for you! I can’t go so far as to drink tea with you, but I will have a nice cup of coffee. 
I have calmed down, but not by much.
What kind of management company can’t approve of repairs and it takes a day to get approval. What if her furnace went out?
Oh sorry, you can just go without heat? Or sorry,we can’t afford to fix it?
Well if you can’t afford to fix it then maybe you shouldn’t be a landlord.
