Soggy and cold outside, but the temps are supposed to keep rising overnight, so I don’t anticipate slippy roads tomorrow, not that I have to go anywhere.
I stopped at Food Lion on the way home and loaded up to the tune of almost $100! Supper was their rotissed chickie, whomp biscuits, and broccoli. Dishes are done, and shortly, I will begin making parts that will become punkin’ wigs for next Halloween. I’ve got lots of yarn that I won’t use for AARP projects - either wool or too thin to do well as afghans. They’ll make great punkin’ wigs.
And I don’t have to go back to work till Tuesday! LOOOOOOONG weekend!
Howdy Y’all! Been a good day today. Some adultin’ and some goofin’ off. A good mix. Provisions were procured, went over to the church house to take care of the trash and a couple other things, did some Netflixin’ (is too a word! I just decided it is so mote it be.), and made sup which has been ingested. Plus kitchen is all cleanded up.

sari, that sucks about all of the crap with your plumbing. Is there any way to separate the two halves of the duplex for plumbing, HVAC and electrical purposes?

Tis another rainy, dismal, Eeyore day in middle Tennessee. We are getting close to flood stage now. It’s been raining on and off since Friday and the last two days there has been thunder and lightening with it. TWPTB are predicting more rain to come. Oy! I didn’t so much take Nelson for a walk this morning as for a swim. :eek:
when we had plumbing problems they had to put in a new pipe to by pass the old one because it was to flippin small for both the washer and the sink and would pop the outside pipes apart and overflow
only took 15 years for that to happen ……
I will be making more cookies tonight, the chocolate ones with the Hersheys Kiss in them. They are for a funeral reception tomorrow that I am helping set up. I may allow myself to eat one cookie. I now weigh less than ten pounds more than when I got out of the Army all those years ago. But I sill look heavier, because I am not terribly fit. Got to tone up.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 67 Amurrkin out with showers in the vicinity with a predicted high of 81 and possible rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. This is the kind of weather that sets people on edge around here as it’s tornadoish weather. Not a whole lot planned for the day which is fine by me. Sup shall be country fried steak ‘n onion gravy with rice, butterbeans, squishes, and rolls. I also plan on makin’ some tuna sallit and pimento cheese just cause I want some of both. Other than that, well, Netflix ain’t gonna watch itself.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, onward into the day. Rah.
Woke at 4:30, because, well, of course… dammit. But I stayed in bed playing some brainless games on my tablet till I couldn’t stand my morning mouth any longer. Teeth have been brushed, critters have been tended to, and I just finished breakfasting. Roxy is being fed, and I’ll get showered and dressed so I can do babby duty today. Dunno if I’ll leave the house or not - we shall see.
A water main burst right in front of my daughter’s school last night, which is just down the road from us. The whole street was flooded, and of course, that street is at the top of a little hill, so the nearby streets flooded. Water’s back on at her school, and you can tell the city was sanding and salting the street all night; it’s mucky icy mess over there. I hope there’s no damage to the school!
Helped my daughter with her arithmetic home last night. She’s learning about prime numbers and how to reduce fractions. She likes to do things together, so we reduced fractions together.
I just found out that a teacher at one of the kindergartens I teach at had suddenly died. She was only 43. I don’t know the details, but it was sudden. A stroke or heart attack, perhaps.
Howdy Y’all! Been a lot slothful with just a tad of productivity day here at da cave. Watched Netflix stuff, surfed teh intartoobz, made sup and that’s it for the day. We have supped sup and kitchen is all cleanded.
