Also, the Dharma guy said at the beginning that if they continued to drill, “God help us all;” that was also the last line of the episode, delivered by Ms. Hawking.
And for the love of God, why is everyone assuming that she is Faraday’s mother? I don’t remember that being hinted at even a little last season.
Just from the fact that she seems to be an expert at time-travel, and they cut Daniel off just before we heard her name. It kinda implies that we would know who she is.
BERNARD: Good. Can you get Libby and meet me at the edge of the tree line in 5 minutes? Oh, and if you can get Jin and Sun, Jenkins and that Frogurt guy – the guy who used to make frozen yogurt.
HURLEY: Neil?
Not sure if it was Neil, since he got hit in the chest, but somebody ran off the screen with their head on fire and it cracked me up!
When Hurley’s dad first appeared, he made a sandwich and sat down to watch tv. The show was the one that Nikki was an actress on.
Sawyer has a daughter. When he jumped out of the helicopter, he whispered something to Kate first. Also, in one of the season 4 episodes, Kate told Jack she had to do something for Sawyer but wouldn’t tell him what. The speculation is that the whispering was him asking her to do something for the daughter.
Isn’t that rule conflicted by the fact that Locke interacted with Ethan during a time bubble which was before they met in “un-tampered” time? Or did the two somehow have a previous meeting that I forgot.
Wasn’t there a thread of unanswered questions? Which of those questions are answered now, after the new season premiere? …or at the very least, which ones can be explained by the island and its inhabitants moving abnormally thru time/space?
Ah, but that was Ethan’s past. He could have met Locke in his past and just never mentioned it to any of the other losties. However, Sawyer appearing in Desmond’s past (where Desmond definitely did not meet Sawyer) would cause problems.
Just a thought: Someone snarkily inferred upthread that any characters not mentioned or shown in the recap episode directly before the first new one, well those people must not be imp. to the mystery/mythology. I’m thinking (hoping) that’s not necessarily true, because I don’t think they covered Walt. and he’s got to be important. also Rouseau.
Anyway, perhaps they just didn’t have time to mention Everyone, or pay union wages for a brief snippet of an actor. Or they didn’t want to confuse people they were trying to bring up to speed.
I know I’m not being very clear, but I trust you guys can follow.
