Lost 2.11: "The Hunting Party"

Or Vincent!

Why, no, I don’t have 733t HTML skills on cuppa coffee #1, why do you ask?

Sounds like a project!

Because they were headed straight for the secret base, with the boats and computers and power plants and WAAAAALLLLLT!!!

Because Michael’s kind of dumb that way. He only took three bullets, for christ’s sake…

Breeding stock for The Project. Whatever reason they needed Alex, and the kids from the tail section, and Walt.

I was a bit confused about the relationship between Jack and Sarah and their desire to disclose information that was important but the timing was clearly bad…

  1. He comes home exhausted and gets in bed, she is leaving to go to the gym and then grade papers… things are not going well in the relationship and Jack is involved in a difficult emotional case. At that moment she chooses to tell him that she was worried abotu being pregnant, took a test, and it was negative, but basically that she does nto want to talk about it… at that moment, I said to phungal “Why is she telling him this now?”

  2. He comes home clearly spent and emotional after losing the patient and also kissing the woman (which appeared to come secondary to a sympathetic hug but was clearly wrong on all levels) and chooses to disclose to his wife that he was kissed and he kissed back… again I said “Why is he telling her this now?”

Because he’s somewhat self-absorbed. He’s unavailable to his wife, they grow distant, he finally drags his ass home, she tells him about the pregnancy “scare” during one of the few moments she gets to speak to him. The marriage is already pretty much over, so no, she doesn’t feel the need to share her feelings with him.
When he got home after losing his patient, only then does he decide to work on the marriage. Oops, too late. She’s seeing some other wo(man?)

Seems to be a pretty realistic portrayal of a marriage heading south to me. (I know of whence I speak)

Aren’t we to think she was worried as well because she didn’t know whose baby it was?

Jack’s or Kate and the turkey baster’s?

I feel like I’m missing something. Why is it we can posit that Sara was having a fling with Kate? I understand how oddly these peoples’ lives intersect but I was thinking about the possibility of it being Libby.

Explain the Kate thing.

I missed the foundation for this, when did we learn he only TOOK three bullets?

I got the Locke tracking thing where he found three spent casings, but how did we know that was all he had?

Either one. Those of us suggesting Kate were largely just being perverts!

(1) Jack losing his wife to Kate would be sweet, sweet irony. Kind of like Hurley winning a million dollars, then becoming colossally unlucky, or Locke finding his father, who cons a kidney out of him, or Kate, killing the only man she ever loved…

(2) It increases the odds of seeing Kate & Sara in scantily-clad girl-on-girl action, and that can only end well.

Well, yeah, but I don’t want her to be Jack’s project, because I hate her. AnaL is really more Sawyer’s speed. He very much strikes me as the kind of guy who likes a woman who can kick his ass.

Well, yeah, but what do they do when they run out of lube? :dubious:

Well, Shannon was the last female Lostaway that we saw definitely getting some action, but she did manage to find another method of contraception…

I’ve heard “abortion is murder” but never “murder is abortion”!

According to Sawyer, there’s at least one other woman snuggling up to Steve (or Scott, whichever one isn’t dead, dammit)–he mentioned it when he was reading the bottle messages on the raft. Unless somebody found a rubber tree and a way to harvest it, there’s certain to be an “accident” sooner or later.

I DVR’d the episode and just saw it last night.

Don’t have much to add, except that the woman who plays Gabriella . . . mmm . . . she can bake my ziti anytime.
Maybe she was the one nailing Sarah?

Hey, a guy can dream, can’t he?

I think the comment referring to “took three bullets” meant “took” as in “caught three bullets” or “managed to get off three bullets before being taken”. Not “dumbass only took three bullets on the trip with him”.

Of course, I hope he’s dead. But that’s because I still hate the fucker.

It was obvious that there was chemistry long before the kiss. In the first scene with HIC (hot Italian chick), I said to my Lost-mates: Sparks are flying!

I like the way they left this show. Sure, they didn’t advance the story much, but they told us what direction it’s going to take in the future. I liked the way BB’s voice was crystal clear, and that he called them by name. Man, was that creepy.

My biggest complaint is that they’ve introduced too many new characters, and it takes too much time to move the story forward with all of them. Still, it’s great TV, and continues to captivate me.

I’m still suspicious of Libby. Even though Goodwin turned out to be a plant, it seems odd that she just happens to have a background in psychology. Are we sure she was on the plane? I hope Hurley checked the tailies against the passenger manifest!!!
