Lost 2.23: "Live Together, Die Alone" [Season Finale] Open Spoilers

Michael Connelly?

Someone with Tivo… the Others were barefoot. Did anyone have missing toes?

You know, I think the biggest question right now is why the Others felt Walt was such a windfall for them. What about him was so valuable?

Man, I was hoping for an almost orgasmic revelation as well, but not THAT orgasmic.

And if Walt was so valuable, why did they let him go?

If Henry Gale is the big wig, how did he end up getting caught in one of Rousseau’s traps? If it was intentional, how in the hell was it worth the high risk of death? (After all, she probably would have killed him before telling anybody else, for all he knew.)

What I’m most curious about is what happened to Lock and Ecko. The implication was that the hatch was destroyed, and neither of them seemed to be on their way out.

think you all are off on the wrong trail there. the Ruskies aren’t looking for EMP disturbances…
they’re looking for the emergency beacon/GSP signal.

that’s coming from Desmond’s boat.

that’s been overpowered up until now by the island’s electromagnetic field.

The “Russkies” were speaking Spanish, according to my Spanish-speaking wife.

I’m not fluent, but they were definitely speaking Spanish, or at least something romantic that’s not French. I heard "que"s and "por favor"s.

I’m sure you’re on to something there. So she’s been searching for him for 3 or 4 years.

I’m also betting that Locke, Eko & Des are all okay, or maybe trapped or incapacitated for the time being… but what gave Desmond the idea that turning the key to the fail safe would be the death of him? He sure made it seem like Locke and the others had to get the hell away before he did it. We also know that he likes to say “See you in anotha life… BROTHA!” as well, so maybe it was just an unfortunate turn of phrase?

Well, he seemed oddly ‘not surprised’ or at all worried when the system malfunction occured… could be that he wanted the malfunction to happen.

The Dharma guy clearly said they were hostiles… could be they are people trying to expose whatever the island is… could be they are just stuck there and trying to get out as well… except that Gale knew the path to leave.

You can leave, but you’ll never get back? How the f*ck does he know that… perhaps it “has the virtue of never having been tried”. (5 points for that reference).

Clearly the Dharma group knows how to get there. (or atleast ‘did’, and the plane drop of food indicates you can ‘get there’).

I get a little tired of what seems to be endless ties between all the charectors… Desmond gets teh boat from Libby? it’s starting to seem forced.

I suppose that Desmonds malfunction also brought the drug runners plane down.

And no, that was not Jack’s wife… atleast not the one we have seen as she was laying in the hospital bed after the back surgery while Desmond and Lady were talking.

“We;re the good ones”… who the frack are the bad ones then?

I was so hoping that walt wouldnt be on the boat and that it would blow up.

but I want to see Hurley go all grape ape on him.

Except the computer monitor specifically mentioned an EM disturbance, indicating that it was the object of their monitoring.

Not a bad guess, but why would they be doing that from what looks like a tent in Antarctica? Plus, why the hell would there be a couple Russian guys dedicated to it. I’m thinking they were specifically contracted to look for this island and that the future Mrs. Desmond has some affiliation with the Hanso Foundation.

Becuase the other guy indicated that turning the key “erased it all”… or words to that affect… since he never turned it, he didn’t know either.

I’ll bet some of the missing orientation film bits said what the key did… and obviously Inman/Kelvin lied about what happened to the first guy, as his film bits and bible were found in another hatch.

Closed captioning says they were speaking Portuguese

Like James Kirk, perhaps Henry Gale doesn’t believe in a no-win scenario…

Bah! Can somebody tell me what happened after the last commercial break? The last thing we saw was Charlie and Claire kissing by the fire, then they went to commercial and that’s all we saw due to user error. Something about Russians looking for the boat?

I’m guessing they’re in Chile somewhere, which might explain the spanish. And maybe they’re looking for any EM anomaly… Maybe she’s NOT looking for Desmond after all, but is really looking for the island, and serendipitously and unknowingly has found Desmond as well?

Okay. I’m ready for Season 3 now.

Anybody get anything out of the website?

We have a winner… points are on the way.

The last season finale created more questions than it provided answers, so why should this season be any different? I had lots of WTF?! moments, which is all I need to keep me tuning in.

I LOVED that we appear to have a reason that flight 815 came down. That’s pretty huge!!

Also we (kind of) know what happens when the clock goes down to zero. Though it doesn’t appear there’s a clock left any more. That might be interesting.

If Desmond knew there was no “disease” to innoculate himself against, why did he keep shooting up, and take a bunch of vaccine with him when he fled the hatch?

WHY didn’t Eko take one second to explain to Locke why he thought the button was meaningful? It’s his own damn fault he got blowed up (if he did). :wally

Who else was hoping that as soon as Michael and Walt pulled away from the dock, the damn boat would blow up?

How did Charlie survive? And why did the rest of the Losties just go “Huge light, flying steel door, missing Eko, Locke and Desmond. Huh. Well, let’s hang out by the fire.” Like, they could try looking for their lost-mates. Oh, sorry. That would make sense.

Very curious what the Others are planning to do with the “big three.” Breeding experiments, perhaps? Can’t wait for season 3!
