I hadn’t thought about it, but I think Frylock’s right. If he was willing to dig through the waterlogged luggage, scour the beach for stuff that had been washed up, or :eek: :eek: go through the bins in the fuselage before they burned it, I think he deserves what he got. I suppose he could’ve been altruistic and shared it with the others, but they don’t “deserve” it - if he didn’t steal it from a living person who had a claim to ownership, it’s his.
I think by “Frylock” you mean “Merijeek.”

That being said, though, IIRC he didn’t have the inhaler. They thought he did, and he let Sayid torture him, but ultimately he said he didn’t have it, and it was never shown that he did.
Oops, good point on the inhaler.
