Bravo, Monstre! Pure genius!
No, we use both terms over here.
But he didn’t give a damn about Paolo & Nicki.
Who the hell is Paolo and Nicki?
Peripheral characters to whom something rather shocking occurred in the episode of March 28th.
There were these two really nice looking breasts. Were they attached to Nikki or Paolo?

Aren’t they Aussie, not Brit?
murder, diamonds, spiders, paralysis, live burial, remember?
I took Desmond for a Scot, by his accent.
I’m not familiar enough with Australian accents to know if they had regional ones that might sound like that.
I took Desmond as being Scottish since he was in the Royal Scots. Oh, and since he lived in Scotland and spoke with a Scottish accent.
And drank Scotch and had a Scottish Terrier and used Scotch tape…
I was a joke.
Dude Nikki is dead.
Who the hell is Nikki?
Oh now I do remember that, but wasn’t he living in Australia?
Not once were we ever given that indication.
He did live in London. Maybe there’s another one in Australia.

Desmond is a Scot. His last name is Hume. We do know that he was in America preparing for a round the world boat race where he ran into Jack as well as Libby. As far as we know, he never made it to Australia on part of his race.
We don’t know why we was coming out of a military jail prior to the race.
Ah, consider me whooshed.
snort!
watches the whooshes fly by
I was a joke.
Don’t be so hard on yourself…
Oh now I do remember that, but wasn’t he living in Australia?
No. Remember, Desmond isn’t a Flight 815 survivor. He was sailing east across the Pacific when he wrecked on the Island and was rescued by Kelvin, who then put him to work for Dharma in the hatch for three years.
Desmond’s Scottishness has been well-established in his flashback episodes.

I have a notoriously bad memory for details of tv shows–if I don’t watch the “previously on 24” for example, I can’t remember pretty much ANY of the plot (and I can never remember character names, even of shows I watch religiously for years). I did remember that he wasn’t a plane crash survivor, but I guess I had it in my head that that boat thing he was in was an Australian thing–isn’t there some huge boat event in Australia? That is what was throwing me off. I also have a very easy time suspending my disbelief regarding accents–if the actor’s accent isn’t a major key factor in the plot I usually don’t even hear it. I am sometimes jarred by Chase’s accent on House because I forget he isn’t American–I just don’t “hear” the Aussie accent most of the time.
That’s plausible, especially since some of the larger yachts have onboard helicopters. But we’ve been told that you can’t navigate to the island, especially after the sonar signal was destroyed by the electromagnetic anomaly, so how did the helicopter find the island?
Same way the plane dropping the food does, probably.
Perhaps there’s some sort of secret method known only to DHARMA, and the others are only able to use the beacon.
