The women in the Looking Glass are apparently named “Bonnie” and “Greta” and are played by Tracy Middendorf and Lana Parilla. So neither of them are anyone we have seen before.
I know you meant “Northern England,” but the actor is Canadian, which still makes him a “Northerner” by most useful definitions of the word.
Here’s a link to their pictures.
Oddly, they don’t look mad or evil. They look scared.
I re-watched that part last night, and saw that the station is identified on the blueprints as the “Looking Glass Hatch” (emphasis mine).
It seems like a weird synecdoche to find on official floorplans; the 815ers only called the Swan Station “the Hatch” because the hatch entrance was all they knew about at first. All other Dharma material refers to the several facilities as “stations,” and it makes little sense that the Looking Glass would be any different.
The more so because it doesn’t actually have a hatch.
Desmond told Charlie that he was going to die in “a hatch”. FWIW, which isn’t much.

And Sawyer was reading “Watership Down”. Hmmm…
Desmond: Charlie, I’ve just had a thought. We can save Claire without swimming out to the hatch.
Charlie: Are you sure?
Desmond: I am. See this cable? I want you to chop through it with this axe, and we’ll cut off power to the hatch.
Charlie: And Claire and Aaron will be safe?
Desmond: They will.
Charlie: Right here?
Desmond: A bit to your right, brother…
cut to Air Rescue Helicopter
Pilot: [In Portuguese] Did you see that flash and that puff of smoke? Head that way and let’s see what it was.
Do we have any Character Death Speculation here yet? I for one do like a show where any character can be knocked off (I just want them to stay dead once they’re dead). Just for the love of God don’t let them kill off Sayid!..or Jin… or Hurley…or Sawyer. Star dumbass Jack can go as far I’m concerned. Now that would shake things up.
I’ve thought for a long time that Desmond would be their key off the island, somehow. He and Jin are my favorite characters, so as long as they make it through the series alive, I’m a happy camper.
I’d love to see Sun die. I hate that woman. Charlie is totally expendable as well, but I really started to like him after the last episode after hating him for so long.
Unless you’re a fan of “24”, in which case…
Tracy Middendorf was Carla Matheson (Murdered Mom) at the start of season 2 of “24”.
Lana Parilla was Sarah Gavin – working at CTU for a large chunk of season 4.
It just occurred to me that Ben moved up the invasion schedule because he discovered that Locke had swiped the tape recorder with his message to Juliet, and revelation of his plans, on it.
Yes, but he should then have come up with a completely different plan since the Losties would be taking precautions already.
Surprise attack under cover of daylight? Sounds like a new plan to me.

The only reason I would ever want to see Michael again is if he died, preferably in a gruesome manner.
I’d like to see Michael come walking up the beach and then see Hurley calmly and cooly pick up a rifle, chamber a round, and then put one right between Michael’s eyes at 200 yards.
I don’t like Michael, but I can understand wanting to get Walt back and safe–tied to his absolute desperate need to be a good father to Walt–so I can’t really hate him…
I definitely think the two are due back on the Island at some point, though. “Just follow the compass bearing and you and your son will get rescued”?
I think Tom (Bluebeard) will bite it so the others have some casualties in the battle.
I’m not sure what you’re intimating with that quote from Ben. Can you elaborate?
-FrL-
He didn’t say “get rescued”, he said “find rescue”. I assume there is some place on the island called “rescue”. But it could be that he really does shuttle them back to The World, telling Michael that he’ll be killed if he breathes a word about The Island. OTOH, Ben just might kill them-- he clearly has no problem killing people who get in the way.
He didn’t tell Michael that, though. He told him that he wouldn’t be able to find his way back to the island with rescue, and that he (Michael) would probably hesitate to do so anyway, due to what he did to Ana-Lucia and Libby.
We don’t know what Michael was told once he motored into the sunset and found “rescue”. And we do know that Ben lies thru his teeth.
