Lost 5.11 "Whatever Happened, Happened"

Thank you–I couldn’t remember that either.

My big complaint this season is that there’s not nearly enough Hurley–Hurley needs two or three Hurley-centric episodes a season.

Plus, everyone’s forgotten his “Super-Luck” power. Remember when they were first going after the Crazy French Chick and he started muttering the numbers to bypass traps, etc?

I thought it was like a test. If Hurley understood the explanation about time travel, then he’d know that Miles can be killed. If Hurley agrees to shoot Miles, then he doesn’t understand, because he thinks Miles is unkillable like little Ben.

Yeah, but that isn’t saying much. Everytime she gets real upset she jumps in bed with somebody.

Would have been funny if he had shot him the leg.

I liked last night’s episode despite it being a “Kate” centric one. I’m not sure if it is the character, the actress, or both but any time Kate is on screen, I roll my eyes. ---->

IMO, there is pretty much nothing admirable or likable about Kate apart from her looks. She’s a really shallow, unpleasant person.

IMO.

Have they ever said ANYTHING about what happened to Faraday? Is he supposedly assimilated into the Dharma group also? And if so, when are we going to see him again?

I love the way Kate forced Aaron on Grandma–“I’m just gonna leave him in the room next door, so really, you gotta take care of him now, regardless of how you feel about it. Hee-another life messed with.”

Plus, other than she’s a huge gaping vortex of drama, why the hell didn’t Kate simply tell Jack “I left him with his grandma” rather than "Don’t EVER ask me THAT AGAIN?!?!?! < sob > "

I think he’s working on um…The Swan? Whichever station has the Wheel.

The Orchid.

All we’ve heard is that he’s “not here anymore.” We saw him in the orchid at the start of the season, but we don’t know when that was in relation to what’s going on now.

I just thought of something: if Charles Whitmore was on the Island in 1977…how old is Penny?

Lostpedia says Penny’s age has never been stated on screen.

Still, I doubt she’s younger than 30. Not after 3 years with Desmond, 3 years looking for him, at least a couple of years when he was in the army… it adds up. I’m pretty sure she was born on the Island. The question is, what does this mean?

But Sonya Walger was born in 1974, so even with some of the age shifting that’s been going on (like Ethan) we can assume she is near 30. And Widmore claimed that Ben tricked him into turning the wheel, so if he was telling the truth it won’t be for a while since Ben is still a kid. So either Penny was born on the island, or Widmore was sent back in time when he turned the wheel.

Definitely thinking that Penny and Daniel are siblings, or at least half-siblings.

If? From what Richard said, he was definitely there, and he was probably in charge. Hmm…

He was pretty integral in helping Locke try to gather the Losties for the trip, so that does make sense.

Well Richard’s comment about memory loss might explain why he doesn’t remember Sayid, but unless the rest of the Losties leave the Barracks before Ben gets back, and Sayid never shows his face again, there’s no reason he shouldn’t at least remember them.

I was expecting him to turn into the smoke monster lol

Juliet: there’s nothing more I can do
Kate: Jack refuses to help, is there really nothing else to do
Juliet: well…

Juliet was both the one to say that she couldn’t save Ben and that the Others might be able to - she lived with them for three years so she would be the one to know.

Nope. Although it seems the Others like to dress up - as slobby natives, US military, Dharma people, hillbilly boaters, preppy recruiters…

Well we know from his flashforward that at some point he was working at the Orchid, and from dialogue it’s implied that he’s disappeared or at least not living at the Baracks anymore. I’m pretty sure he

has an episode coming up soon addressing all that

I’m suspecting that it will be addressed in episode 5.14

“The Variable” (rumored Faraday-centric), Airdate: April 29, 2009

My guess is that they will all go back to the future at the end of the season. It’s possible that Ben won’t be back before they leave.
Which brings up another question: How are they going to explain Ben’s disappearance? We know that he does come back to Dharma eventually.

Regarding Faraday: When we saw the flash-forward of him at the Orchid he wasn’t exactly working there. He was clearly shown hiding his face from Chang/Wickman/Candle as they walked by each other. The implication I got was that he wasn’t supposed to be there.

My guess is that he is spying on Dharma’s progress at the Orchid station for either his own ends or the Others. He may be waiting for the FDW to become available for turning in order to get everyone Back to the Future[sup]TM[/sup]. If he’s working with the Others his mission could be just about anything.
