Widmore, former Other Youth, indeed!
and was Desmond & Penny’s son named Charlie? after “not Penny’s boat” Charley & not after her poppa, I assume.

Yeah me too. I seem to be falling asleep after a half hour of each episode. I suck :dubious:
We got some slight pixilation a couple of times. I am watching the Austin ABC affiliate (KVUE) via DirecTV.
What an awesome episode!
I don’t know if this was common sense to everyone else, but, thinking about it a little more, this episode kind of explains last year’s episode, “Cabin Fever,” in which Richard goes to see a little boy Locke. Locke hadn’t been born yet, as he said, so Richard’s curiosity must have been piqued, he went to see him, and he must have wanted to know if John would have the “power” to know that he was supposed to take the compass as that young age. Also, Richard must have originally given the compass to Locke (right after he had been shot by Ethan) because Richard knew he had to give him the compass, so Locke could give the compass back to Richard before his birth.
Did that make your head hurt as much as it did mine, typing it?
She was a woman that Daniel experimented on before coming to the island. For the brief moment we see her, it seems that her mind is traveling through time.
But is she that girl that marched Faraday out to the bomb? Is that one of her time travel destinations?
I don’t think so. I think her mind is just moving, just like Desmond’s did on the way out to the frieghter. Her sister claimed that at one point she thought she was 3.
I tried to pay attention but I’m at a total loss as to what the title of the episode means.
It’s the name painted on the bomb, which they apparently bury in what is to become the hatch.
Am I correct that Locke gave Richard the compass before the last time shift? So now Locke has neither the info on how to leave, nor the compass to try and convince Richard next time they meet.
Is it the hatch or is it the Pearl/power station?
Yeah, but now Richard knows who he is. Richard will remember him as long as it’s not before the 50s.
Could be either I suppose. But remember what Sayid said when he was checking out the hatch? He said the only other place he’d seen an enclosure like that was Chernobyl.
I think it was the hatch. Something was buried in cement, and Sayid said that it reminded him of Chernobyl.
Oh, good point.
Okay, so Locke has the compass because Richard gave it to him. Richard has the compass because Locke gave it to him.
So where did the compass come from in the first place?
One of the hatches was a compass manufacturing station.
The Black Rock perhaps?
Well, not so much where, but how? Richard only has the compass because Locke gave it to him, and Locke could only give it to him because Richard gave it to him because he got it from Locke because… my head hurts. It came from nowhere!
Unless Richard loses the compass at some point and ends up getting the same compass from somewhere else.
Or someone–say, Danielle, who claimed to have arrived 16 years before 815–had it, and he obtained it from her, or someone else who arrived on the island between the 1950s and 2004.
