LOST 6.15 "Across the Sea"

Not much for actually reading the thread, eh?

I’ve read the whole thread, and find myself thoroughly confused by the exchange between Apos and Ellis Dee.

SOMEBODY is whooshing ol’ middleman…I just don’t know who…

One (two) more major questions for me:

1a) Who (Jacob/MIB/Other) healed Locke? Why? Why was the healing revoked around the time of him trying to get into the Hatch (or thereabouts–it may have been after the opening of the Hatch). Again…whoever did it…why did they do it? What were they trying to get Locke to do.

1b) Who kept Ben tumor-free? Why did they change their mind? It doesn’t make sense if it’s Jacob: he didn’t like, trust or want Ben around (per the conversation right before Ben murdered Jacob)…so who was responsible for Ben’s tumor.

  1. The Others (with orders from Ben who got them through Richard who got them through Jacob) murdered (on camera and in cold blood) a ton of tailies and middle-section people. Why? What was Jacob’s motivation.

This isn’t stuff like Dharma (which was/is a powerful organization with unlimited funds and global resources, not a bunch of hippies) that’s (sadly) been handwaved away, this is central to the now main focus of Jacob/MIB: who was doing what to who and why?

Well, there’s someone whose default position is “it sucks!”, and then that person lists a whole bunch of completely, factually incorrect reasons as to why it sucks. The other guy is correcting him.

You know that part where William Wallace started shooting lightning bolts out of his arse? TOTALLY WRECKED THE MOVIE!!! The writer of that movie was so goddamned incompetent. Are we supposed to believe that he had asbestos ass hair? ASBESTOS WASN’T EVEN INVENTED YET!
