Well, I think that chick has been wrong before or misinformed and her info was slightly off.
Still that character does fit the “much loved” requirement.
Quote from the spoiler site " Basically, something catastrophic happens, and because someone lies about what happened, the victim ultimately can’t be saved.". I wonder if this is about the hatch in the ground and Locke or Boone are the liar? Or perhaps Kate who’s a well-known liar? Or Jin lying about speaking English?
Hurley has been the character many have suspected of being the one to die because he is probably the most loved. I’d hate to see them write him out, maybe the writers will change things at the last minute since this seems to be what everyone is expecting. If this does happen and basically someone else is “responsible”, I suppose that will add enough of an element of drama to carry on into future episodes for a while.
They will gets lots of nasty letters though. Jorge Garcia is one of the actors who posts and chats the most over at The Fuselage the most. I still think they need to kill off the character that would add the most drama, Jack, not the one most loved by the fans. Meanies!
There’s an indication that there will be an episode from Vincent’s perspective, which will give us some sort of insight into what went on in the plane’s cargo hold. I hope if they do it, it also covers what the dog does when he runs off on the island, but I’m not holding my breath.
I just think it’s absolutely fantastic that someone thought to do a Vincent flashback. :)
Okay, I’ve read the tivo episode summary for Numbers, which airs in two weeks. It says that Hurley becomes obsessed with finding the French woman and goes off into the jungle after her, forcing Jack, Locke and (I think) Charlie to go after him.
IMHO this is the episode that’s going to lead to the Major Character Death we’ve all heard about, and it’s going to be Hurley.
Not to bring back a thread that is sort of dead, but I had a thought on this. I am a casual watcher of the show (due to time constraints) but stay caught up on the action based on this thread and TWOP.
One of the main questions continually surrounding this show is the time that is passing on the island, and specifically how it relates to weight loss for Hurley. Since real life weaght loss would be somewhat difficult to manage on a chronological basis with the show, wouldn’t it make some sense that Hurley is most likely to die, and to do so soon? That way, they can use him for a while, but get rid of him before the weight loss questions become too prominent.
