1.) I’m not married
2.) I don’t live in a house.
3.) If you found my apartment and broke my current roommate in half I’d just use it as an excuse to steal his half of the diningware before moving into my new place :).
(Okay, note to self, Zeriel is male. Allegedly at least. We can’t trust anything in mafia, right?)
So, Zeriel, you’ve posted as much in defense of your gender identity as you did your votes. What shall we conclude from that? (warning: psychologist).
Scum obviously know that I am telling the truth here. I am Town. It IS the correct assumption on the part of town to believe I am Town. You need look no further to Chronos’ quote above, and the similar comments from other players.
I don’t think any Town member can fault me for claiming when I did.
Does my claim make me any more of a target, than anyone else? I mean, I successfully made it past the lynch, but I think it came at a cost.
Hopefully, I am over thinking this. Anyone with a bone here?
Yep, can’t really argue with you, even though I’m on the list. That’s the way the cookie crumbles. It will look particularly bad if Fiend turns up scum at some point. All I can say is, I voted for who I felt looked the scummiest of the viable candidates. I could have stayed on the sidelines with a pointless vote, but I went on the record, stated my case clearly, and I was wrong. Sorry, Ichini.
I should also point out, however, that it also can’t hurt to look at who started the (now obviously wrong) case against Ichini, which turns out to be…you.
Meeko, if the cop investigated you would s/he get “drunk and disorderly?”
Oh, to your other post:
You’re looking more innocent than average, which normally makes you more of a target than average. You did the right thing by claiming when you did, but it may be your death tonight. You’ll live if the mafia think they have bigger fish to fry or if they think you’re an likely doctor protect (or if you’re mafia, which is possible up until you’re dead and confirmed).
I’m just hoping the mafia don’t kill me; I died night 1 last game.
I can agree with your last line, however, Telcontar. I mean, as a player, I think you have a lot on the ball. But, your trick question cannot be answered. The entire post comes off pinging me.
Meeko, nobody is fishing you - there’s nothing to fish for. “Fishing” refers to trying to get someone to disclose information about their role (and particularly to find out if they have a power role), and you’ve already posted your entire role PM. And you’re vanilla Town.
There are a few different ways that Scum might go, with their night kill. First, they might choose to go for those people whom are considered least suspicious by Town. If they go this route, then you are in fact more likely to be targeted (assuming you actually are Town). Second, they might try to make a guess as to who has a power role. I don’t think you’ve given any indication of having a power role, so you’d be safe here. Third, they might try going after the people they think are doing the best jobs at hunting Scum: This is often more experienced players, or possibly just those who made shrewd guesses or observations so far in the game. In this case, you’re probably safer than average, due to your inexperience. Finally, they might just pick someone at random, in the hopes that Town will get confused trying to analyze their motives. They probably won’t do this, but it’s still a high enough chance that I don’t think analyzing Scum motives for their night-kill is worthwhile for Town.
yeah, the game of “but what if that’s what they WANTED us to think?” gets old fast. Sometimes there’s a really obvious kill, and sometimes the reason for a kill is really obvious after it happens, but normally the extra body on the deck is less informative than you’d expect.
Meeko: My posts haven’t exactly been meaningful since the day ended; i’m relaxing (cf my exchange with Zeriel regarding his genitalia or lack thereof*). I’ll start being consistently serious again once we’re near dawn.
*This is a bit of a running joke: In our first mafia game together i called him a her at one point because i thought he’d claimed to be female. I was mistaken
And ever after, my sig has been what one of my best RL friends said when I bitched about it. And I have to think of increasingly violent things to do to you.
Incidentally, nothing precludes me waiting until you get a wife, THEN breaking her in half.
Checking in. Not much to add except to note that I was surprised with the drama and last minute vote-switching and so forth. It read like the ending of a suspense thriller. I do not recall anything like that in The Crimson Glyph – lively discussion, to be sure, but nothing like four or five votes/switches in the last couple of hours (the last-minute scum vote-switch FTW excepted, of course). Is this “normal” for Mafia?
It can happen. Sometimes it is a Scum ploy to derail a vote, othertimes it is Town people being confused and indecisive. Both seem likely, esp. for Day 1.
In the interest of town unity and the safety of my future wife, I will cease to comment on the topic of Zeriel’s anatomy and the ways it might be similar or different to the standard human options. I would like to add that I would certainly not condone someone adding a link to this discussion to his profile on the mafia wiki as that would undoubtedly result in others teasing him in all subsequent games.
Oh, someone thinks you are a girl again? Sorry, but Flying Cow of Doom has that joke covered. Um…let’s see…well…ok, you can have some gender confusion too.
