Lost Mafia/Werewolf/Psychopath

That is how a redirector works. Whether it is likely depends on 1.) whether we have a town or mafia redirector in the game and 2.) whether the vigilante targeted tom or nanook last night. It’s certainly possible, and it would explain why a vigilante killed either tom or nanook (both odd choices), but that would be a lot of power roles.

It’s probably not best to speculate (publicly) about what power roles may or may not be in the game. the last thing you want is to tip the hand of a pro town power role. We know (ish) that there is a vigilante, but if there’s a pro town redirector they really need to keep their head down in day time for awhile longer.

note: I’m strongly encouraging the vigilante not to kill unless they feel they have a very firm read on someone; there’s a lot of town out there.

Oh great GM Mahaloth, you missed ShadowFacts voting for me in #766.

I fully admit that my vote for Zeriel is incredibly thin. I will spend toNight (particularly tonight) re-reviewing and reanalyzing, to make a decent case on someone toMorrow. (Note that I said “decent”, not “better.”)

Would one of the one-off voters break this tie?

Um…because you would not want to indicate that you know that I’m right? I would not expect anyone, once accused, to go ‘Oh yeah, you’re right’.

I agree with story- defensive votes are pro-whatever-faction-you-are. This is true no matter whether a person is Scum or Town. If you are Town, then voting to save yourself is proTown - either you bag a Scum, or a Townie dies, which would have happened anyway.

Crap, does the Day end today or tomorrow?

Apparently, it ends toDay. OK. I’m around until noon, and will not allow the Day to end on a tie. I am going to have to abandon more ambitious pursuits and try to examine Chronos and Oredigger more thoroughly.

Crap.

Voting ends today at 11:30EST, Story. I’m watching the clock.

Might not be a bad idea to mention those more ambitious pursuits before there’s an opportunity for you to be squelched, though, right?

Is it just me, or are two players not voting?

Anyway, sounds like others will break the tie (story). heading out.

I have mentioned repeatedly that I’m trying to slog through Day One from a vote analysis standpoint. I have a Word file and I’m working on it. I really doubt I’m getting lynched toDay and we’re allowed to talk during the Night, so I’ll finish and post it before the Night ends.

**Day Two ends at 11:30 AM today(in one hour).

This was on voting for Chronos, IIRC.

I saw this last night, but I was on my way out [To the land of nod.]

Just me, or is that OMGUS? I mean, is it really the best play to just have a “gut feeling”?
Couldn’t you just fake up a reason? Would it then be OMGUS on me to vote Pede because of his OMGUS?

NETA :

Apparently, it was Cardinal Fang.:smack:

Language lesson: OMGUS refers specifically to retaliatory votes.

Meeko - While I am weirded out by pedescribe’s play, I’m not sure I see it as scummy. I’m not sure I don’t, but… the “I can make a case if you want” stuff (I mean, of course we want!) seems too brazen, and the whole “I have identified four Scum on Day Two because the Scum are painfully stupid and I have solved the entire game” routine has been pulled a bunch of times in our collective history, always by overexcited Townies.

So: Oredigger has not posted in this game since Monday, when he was not in significant danger. He has not role claimed, and there is a fair chance that he will not. On the one hand, this worries me: what if he’s the Doctor, or the Detective, or some other valuable role, and never gets a chance to tell us?

On the other hand, we cannot allow disappearing to become a defense against lynching. It will then become child’s play for any Scum who generates suspicion to vanish without making a claim and trust in our power-role anxiety to keep him/her alive.

So if Oredigger is scummier than Chronos, he should be lynched, claims be damned. The problem is, I’m not sure whether he is or not. More to come.

**Brief Note:

Day ends at 11:30 and zero seconds, which means:

Votes at 11:29 count.

Votes at 11:30 DO NOT.**

As I understand it, we currently have two (or more) people watching the clock, basically trying to “beat the clock” on votes.

Can those people Identify themselves?

Yo.

I think the other is Zeriel Zeriel, it might be a good idea for us to make some decisions here. I am willing to vote to break the tie by no later than 11, if you are willing to hold your vote altogether unless and until someone else recreates a tie following my vote. Is that acceptable?

Ok, one of the two identifying works for me.

I can understand waiting on voting for defensive voting reasons

“X and Y are tied with votes, but I believe X to be town, I am going to vote Y at the last second, to save X”

That type of situation, right?

What if three (or more) people change up (or make) a vote just now, what do we think about the third person ?
