Lost Mafia/Werewolf/Psychopath

Well, it probably won’t work, but then again, it can’t hurt, either.

Bleached.

Meeko, why are you voting Zeriel?

Godspeed on that particular journey, fang.

Sorry!**

Since you’re up and about, do you have an opinion on Chronos as Godfather or Meeko as toughguy?

Dunno how I could be more clear–I was being flip. If I were scum, all things being equal, I’d’ve voted for the vote leader out of the “unconfirmed” pool. I was pissy about Jimmy’s snarking on it (and random work bullshit, but that’s nothing new) and tossed off a one-liner. I mean, I even bolded the part of Jimmy’s post where he presumes he’s town and implicitly accepted it for the purposes of that line, the whole damn statement was an angry hypothetical (which is really the way I play this game most of the time).

I’d understand this more if I hadn’t proceeded to lump both you and Jimmy into the “unconfirmed” pool with myself four lines later in the same post.

Wouldn’t be the first time I got lynched as a townie for something stupid I said, anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, I think it’s high time I voted defensively.

I do. Unfortunately I’ve been given to doubting everything in this game (I believe the phrase “insane conspiracy theories” was used), and so it had occurred to me. I was for a long time utterly convinced that story was scum, even if I had to assume he was some kind of godfather role, practical implications be damned. But the weight of all the practical implications eventually gets to you; I don’t think I make a good conspiracy theorist.

Anyway, it’s certainly possible (speaking now of Chronos being a Godfather), but I don’t think the fact that it’s possible is an actionable circumstance at the moment. It’s also possible that he’s just a plain old scum, and AllWalker has been all this time completely mystified how in the hell we could think that he meant X when he said Y. Certainly the possibility that he isn’t town is worth keeping in mind, but I think the important thing at this point is that Chronos has been playing a pretty steady pro-town game, and so on those grounds, if not on the breadcrumb, he’s safe from my vote for the moment.

Meeko as a toughguy is, well, I don’t know. If that’s what he is, he’s vanilla now. It should be obvious by this point that I think Meeko has been at times playing for the scum whether he knew it or not, but sure, why not. Either way, he should only be lynched when he seems the most likely to be scum, and I don’t think anybody thinks we’re at that point, so again, I prefer to note the possibility and keep looking for something concrete.

It takes a lot of assumption to even get to the point where either of these scenarios is extremely important to town. Unless the Godfather has some other power in addition to being investigation proof, with no investigative powers to speak of and with Meeko’s kill already used up, we’re just as well off assuming everybody is vanilla. Which, going back to story’s point, just means we can’t write off anybody as definitely not scum, and puts us back yet again at the question who is playing the game that benefits the scum most.

So, I’m willing to acknowledge that either’s possible, but I’m not convinced it’s the best use of town energy at the moment.

NETClarify:

Not assuming that literally everyone in the game is vanilla, but assuming that Meeko and Chronos are like everyone else - unknowns who pose the same threat as everyone else.

Was this not good enough for you?

:dubious:

I tried this in Crimson, and no one seemed to understand me. We do have different people this time. So, let me bring it back out.
"…we’re just as well off assuming everybody is vanilla. "

Would the scum role blocker differ here? Is town that far gone, that Jimmy could dance around in his scummy goodness, proclaiming he is town?

Jimmy, are you telling us to accept that you are still in the game, and it is only going to get worse, here on out?

Is Jimmy the scum role blocker?

I’m a creative, don’t bother me with the logic, we’ll get accounting and finance to do that.

Wouldn’t this be a simple matter then, to just ask Story who all he has investigated, and filter it back out over who is still alive?

We’re pretty sure we have both a scum roleblocker and storyteller as an investigator, but for now, they’re basically canceling each other out, so they’re both effectively vanilla. If storyteller dies before the roleblocker, then the roleblocker is still effectively vanilla, since he won’t have anyone to block any more. If the roleblocker dies before storyteller, then we have something, but that’s pretty unlikely, since the Scum can kill whomever they want now that the Doctor’s dead.

The only circumstance under which power roles could still be relevant is if we kill the roleblocker this Evening, and storyteller’s power has a death clause that tells us the result of his last investigation if he dies in the Night.

I have no way to cast an informed vote at this point. All I can do is go with my gut, which means I’ll wind up getting yet another Townie lynched. So at the moment I abstain from voting. Better that I not vote than I cast a vote with no reason.

In follow up from last page: Story is correct, if pede’s block on any Scum disrupted all Scum’s night kill, that would be insanely powerful.

So: I consider Meeko highly-probable Town, and Chronos and storyteller moderately-probable Town. If even one of these is wrong, we’re screwed.

Which leaves six players, of whom probably 3 are Scum, and all six are saying “It’s not me!”

In summary: I went fishing and found half of an old boot. I got nothing.

Good god, man.

Sigh. You ABSTAIN? WTF. Cast some vote, any vote. Hell, flip a coin if you truly have no preference. We have an odd number of players, one voter abstaining can make things awkward.

Zeriel looks to be on his way down. I was more suspicious of diver going into today, but now that I’ve read over Zeriel’s comment I think we might have the long awaited real scum tell. I’d vote for him if it were needed to secure the lynch but, since it’s not, I’d like to cast my vote for scuba.

vote scuba

I’ve been suspicious of you for awhile and deciding to entirely sit out today is simply not cool. The unknown pool needs to talk and participate, otherwise we can’t lynch intelligently.
