On Day 2, I drew suspicion for voting for people with weak reasons – mainly from Meeko, our presumed Vig, and ShadowFacts, since proven Scum. Now I’m drawing suspicion from Telcontar for not voting due to having weak reasons.
Though it’s important to have good reasons to vote and to vote for the right people, it’s also really important to just vote. Keeps views on record, allows for analysis, etc. I am still highly suspicious of you but, to avoid someone making a last minute tie, I think I’ll cast the decisive vote to bury Zeriel. Regardless of what I think about Diver, I don’t want to leave the door open for scum to swoop down and save someone as suspicious looking as Zeriel.
Ugh. This blows. I know I said I would catch up, and I have failed. A major family health issue has intervened significantly, and my participation is going to be limited by my situation a bit going forward. I apologize.
As for toDay, I think we’re in a bad place. Here’s the count:
I am trying now to figure out how to read the situation. Telecontar’s abrupt and late abandonment of the USC Diver train - which has essentially assured that USC Diver will not be lynched toDay - has made me somewhat suspicious of Telecontar. I have as little read on Zeriel as on anyone in the game, so I’m not particularly averse to his apparently imminent lynching.
So here’s the deal. My principled vote would be for USC Diver. For a variety of reasons, I think he is most likely to be Scum of those remaining. However, I am reluctant to risk a tie (although the part of me that really really really hates unknowns wants to try out a tie just to see what happens). So at the moment I am voting for no one, because voting for my preferred candidate would generate an undesirable tie.
For the record, I consider a no-vote to be exactly as bad as voting for Town, since either way, you’re not doing anything to find Scum. Casting a vote, even randomly, at least has a chance to come up Scum, so Town should always vote.
Only a few people remained from the original group of Survivors. So many had died. So many innocent people had been killed out of paranoia.
With the death of Ethan Rom, the Survivors experienced a surge of confidence. When they awoke to find Jack Shepherd dead, they didn’t even blink an eye.
They had done it. They had killed an Other and surely, now it would be easy to do it again. Or would it?
After deliberating, the Survivors gathered around Zeriel, who could not believe he was being targeted by the group. They picked up stones and assorted rocks, and pummeled him until he was dead.
But who was Zeriel really?
You have lynched Zeriel, who was Benjamin Linus, an Other Roleblocker.
It is now Night. Day Six will begin on Thursday, at Noon Eastern.

As icing on the cake, with Zeriel coming up Scum, it looks like my vote-analysis program has enough information to draw some real meaningful conclusions now. I haven’t added in toDay’s voting record yet (and won’t until sometime this evening when I get home), but preliminary results with Zeriel scum show a very high likelihood that Scuba_Ben is Town.
