I think Jin is wearing the cuff to make a point to someone. It’s too easy to remove for him not to have done so had he wished. Therefore…he must desire to keep it on.

In the last thread, some were wondering if the girl who threw the molotov cocktail onto the raft might be Alex (I had the same thought when it aired, too).
Well, if it is 16-year-old Alex, she hasn’t aged well. Here are a few shots:
Yea, she looks to be in her 40s or so.
Yes, she does look old, but assuming a hard, hard life, I can be convinced she’s only 16.
Nah. You can make 16 look ugly, tired, strung out, weathered and rode hard, but you can’t make it look old. 
I sat up and rewound that scene when I first saw it to make sure the Other Woman wasn’t Alex, and I’m quite certain it’s not. This woman has a look that collagen plumped teenagers just don’t have. It’s the skin of someone Danielle’s age, not the age of her daughter.
Which brings me to another thought I’d had about Danielle and the Island. How old was she 16 years ago when she gave birth to Alex? I don’t think it’s safe for us to assume that she was a young woman when she had her daughter, and I keep waiting to hear her tell her story, including a late-in-life pregnancy tale, in which we learn that she was a 42 year-old woman 16 years ago! :eek:

Was looking back at some old scenes in earlier episodes, and found the one at the end of “Hearts and Minds” after Boone had his hallucination (where he saw Shannon die).
Boone asked, “That stuff you put on my wound. What did you do to me?”
