How do we know the bomb went boom? We only have Juliet’s say so. It could be they jumped time again and it didn’t go off.
Is it possible the both Jacob and Esau could both turn into Smokie? That might explain why it sometimes kills people and other times doesn’t. It could also explain why the monster can be seen in or at lest near the temple.
That was one WTF episode. My wife didn’t stay up for it so we’re watching it again, I told her not to ask me what’s going on, but she still does.
I made that theory after the season finale last season. Mainly because of the conversation Locke and Eko had about the monster. Locke said he saw a “beautiful white light” and Eko said “that’s not what I saw.” I think Locke saw Jacob and Eko saw Esau.
Also, regarding the ash circle around the cabin, I’m pretty sure it was to keep Esau out. When Illana first came to the cabin, she said that someone else had been USING it. Not living there, but using it. Which means the cabin has some sort of power that they wouldn’t want Esau to have.
And I really hope we find out his real name soon. It took us an entire season to find out Tom’s name.
Wasn’t John Locke the only one the smoke monster appeared to but didn’t hurt? and then he chose to appear as him. Hmm.
I can be ok with not seeing Michael or Walt again but I want to see the dog again!
Hey if the bomb going off sent the Losties into the future, would it have also sent Rose, Bernard and the dog into the future too??? and if not why not?
I did like the episodes, a lot. But I do keep coming up w/ more questions. Like is Widmore going to give up on his quest to find the island? How will Desmond & Penny fit back into the show? I’m guessing somehow Widmore will try to force Des to go back, somehow.
I wholeheartedly agree. I saw him on Law & Order one time, but I think every starting actor/actress always hits Law & Order before becoming bigger stars.
Just thinking about evil-Locke’s face when he said “I want to go home” still sends chills down my spine.
Another great actor is Michael Emerson (Ben Linus). His expression after finding out that the Locke he got orders from to kill Jacob was not the real Locke, like , was amazing. I was thoroughly convinced that he crapped his pants…
If not, then perhaps it would be because they weren’t in close proximity to the site of “The Incident” – i.e. the Swan site where the bomb was dropped down the shaft. All of our other 1977 Losties were right there, or very close by.
all of the ensemble are good actors. I like the sappy Desmond/Penny story stuff because they make it seem so real. On top of that they’re all pretty easy on the eyes too.
BMada - you are so right. what a fine cast. Des & Penny story was great as you said because they made you care about the characters. I think Evangeline Lilly’s fine acting gets overlooked sometimes because viewers got a little sick of her character
