The Metro is now open until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays!! 
In honor of Brian’s new member status, and in honor of his name, everyone has to give him a GREAT BIG HUG upon seeing him! Afterall, he IS Huggybear!
In case you were wondering why we chose a fondue restaurant, it’s because we’re so FOND of Anita! hehehehehe

Not to be impatient or anything, but I either need a ride home after Luna Park Grill, or I need a phone to call my mom to pick me up after Melting Pot. The Grill isn’t terrifically far from my house(Arlington vs. Vienna), but I don’t know how to get to one place from the other.
So, any takers for the prestigious position of being my driver?
And what was that crack about small children? I am hardly a small child, madam. Not exactly huge, but not a toddler either.

Can your mom pick you up at the Vienna Metro station? Luna Park Grill is very close to the East Falls Church Metro, so we could put you on a train there, and your mom could pick you up at Vienna, how does that sound??
Well, if the festivities will be over at 9, then my mom can pick me up. I was thinking that they would extend until midnight, and my mom would really prefer not to pick me up then at Metro.
In summary: unless the party goes way late (c. 10-12 pm) then I will not need a ride home. I can walk 4.5 blocks to Metro.
Opal and Dominic and I are going out the door now. See you there!

Well, we had a blast! Got home around 11:30, which wasn’t as late as we feared we would get back. I’m tired this morning (although thanks to the kindness of RTFirefly, I’ve got my caffeine fix in fine style ), but it was worth it!
Oh, and I forgot to add: thanks to Opal for such fine organization of the festivities and for posting the photos!!
I made it back okay.
danceswithcats and I crashed at Anita’s. (Not together. I was upstairs and he was not, so get that notion out of your head right now!) After a pancake breakfast, we both went home.

I am glad I emerged from my shell and I shall return (you can file that under threat or promise as you wish). It was nice to meet everyone. Special thanks and apologies to gobear, who is a hell of a good guy. I am an ass however, for leaving without checking on whether he had a ride. Fortunately Gingy and Dave were kind enough to take care of that. Thanks to Opal too for arranging everything.
