Hmm, I don’t know. 10/16 is the start of the break at school, so that wouldn’t be a problem. Driving to Maryland isn’t too much of a problem either. While it was interesting last time, it still seems kinda weird.
Well, if you decide to come, we’ll be glad to have you, and if you decide not to, I hope you enjoy your break anyway.
Heavens no, dear. I got in yesterday evening, and I’ve been shoveling ever since. I have yet to see if this is round trippy or if I should nail a hammock to the trees.

Well, if you decide on the hammock, at least in this part o’ the country we got plenty of trees for you to pick from! (But not on my property; it’s pretty tiny. You can use my best friend’s yard; she won’t mind. ).
Since the time is drawing near, and there are a number of MAD’s I haven’t heard from yet, I’m bumping this thread.

Okay, guys, evites have gone out, although I’ve gotten very few responses thus far; where are all you guys? Do I smell bad or something ? I only had email addys that were in the profiles to send out the evites, so if the addy in your profile is one you don’t check regularly, please do so. For no particularly good reason, I’d like to have some idea of how many people to expect.
Also, I’ll admit right here to a little “party host anxiety”. You see, this may be difficult to believe, but in all my adult life, I’ve never hosted a party for other adults! I’ve had birthday parties for my kids and such, but this is really my first “all grown up” party, and frankly, I’m a little worried about it falling on its face!
Help me out, guys. If something’s wrong, tell me. If nothing’s wrong, tell me that, too.

Nothing wrong on your end, I just have a little schedule uncertainty.
It’ll most likely be at least me. Airman has to check his schedule, and I have to check the availability of care for Aaron. This is too late for him, and I’d like to enjoy the party.

That’s fine. If you think Aaron would go to bed somewhere else, there are certainly quiet little corners we could put a portable play pen or something for him. OTOH, I certainly can understand wanting to go out without the kids and enjoy yourself, which is why we’ve come to several DopeFests without the kids. We’d be happy to see you, and happy to see Dave, too, if he can make it.
Damn…definitely seems like a lot of fun, and it’s about the same distance between Morgantown and Cumberland that it would be between Morgantown and Pittsburgh, but sadly the 16th of October is Homecoming for my undergraduate institution (good ol’ California University of PA).
I think I’ll ask my MIL if she can keep Aaron for the night.

Of course it will be a success. We’ll have some good food, get partially wasted, wait until dark, go TP the houses of the municipal officials that have been annoying you, and pee in their pool.
Any reason we couldn’t do those last two steps in reverse?
