… like how to play this game, although I swear Opal kept making up the rules as it went along.
I think the details of the rules are regional. And I never changed the rules while we were playing! From the beginning they were:
Slaps on: adds up to 10 or pairs
Face card rules:
jack - 1 chance
queen - 2 chances
king - 3 chances
ace - 4 chances
simple, really. Not to mention painful!
Here is another set of rules that contains the adds-up-to-10 thing but also includes the sandwiching rule which I’ve never played before.
