So… what was the one word TexCat changed?
There isn’t one.
Septimus’ reason for voting for me can be traced back to this post…which is basically:
We were told someone with a female name is scum. Idle has a female name, so he must be scum.
…and he’s been voting for me ever since.
Strong, strong case he has there, eh?
And as far as I can tell, Astral just thinks it’d would be a clever scum ploy if it turned out Texcat and I were working together…which, is right, it would be…
…if it were true, which it’s not, so there goes his whole case.
Your own logic is this: If you’re scum, you already know, don’t you? So I don’t need to tell you.
And if you’re Town, you don’t need to know because it doesn’t doesn’t 1. Benefit Town or 2. Tell Town anything new anyway. It only benefits scum to know.
I think a more careful read of my post will reveal that I thought your case was too aggressive, too much, and with an obvious hole that doesn’t make sense to me. It’s pretty weird that you would sum that up as “Astral just thinks it’s a scum ploy for who knows why.”
Well, scum already know because unless you missed it, texcat was scum. Withholding information from town when scum already know it is tacky at best. Remember how we have to work together as a team?
There is no reason information known to the scum team and one town player should not be shared with the town as a whole, especially when town knows the clue minus one word anyway.
Look, I see what you’re saying. Your point is “If scum Texcat already knew what the real clue said, the scum already know and there’s no reason not to tell Town what it says too”.
But I’m not revealing the whole/real clue just on the small chance that Texcat really DIDN’T know what the full clue said. Got it?
So you go on and vote for me all you like because of that, if you want. I think you’re scum too, anyway, so I’d expect you to want to VERIFY what the real clue said.
Fine, vote for me for it.
THE CLUE IS DYING WITH ME. Period.
I think Astral is scum and just wants me to verify the clue Texcat has is/was correct.
Sorry, not going to do what scum wants me to do.
Either this or Texcat’s clue really DID say what she got and now scum is putting the pressure on me to reveal what the real info says.
Sorry, scum, that’s not happening. You’re just going to have to lynch/kill me.
Jesus f’ng christ.
Turn the drama knob down a few notches.
Idle, I don’t understand why the one word Texcat changed could be so important that it is worth withholding at this point.
I just don’t buy this. Assuming I’m scum and have clue “A.” TexCat posts clue “A minus/substituted/whatever one word.” You’re jumping up and down saying “No! One word is missing/wrong/whatever!”
We have a pretty good clue that our “clue A” is correct, then. Damage done. Me prying into you to verify it really doesn’t make much sense from a scum point of view.
But maybe since I’m biased (I know I’m not scum), there’s no point in personally debating this back and forth with you in a chorus of “you’re scum, no YOU’RE scum!” back-and-forths. I’ve laid out my thoughts, as have you, so people can vote as they like.
Instead, what’s your favorite kind of pizza? I’m pretty partial to saint Louis style.
Because SCUM, Daphne! Because scuuuuuum!
I fully expect at this point that at the end of the game we’ll see that it was the same clue and the missing word is completely irrelevant to the meaning.
Doubtful. Idle Thoughts claimed on Day 3 that whatever this missing word is, it’s very beneficial to scum.
Blah blah blah blah blah…
Bottom line: If/When I’m lynched and (when) I flip Town, you’re going to look scummy for having pressured me to reveal the clue…
…which is good, since I think you’re scum.
I realize that.
I had an actual point in there. I don’t see how if scum knowingly posted an amended clue, and you pointed out that you knew it was amended, why they would need to then verify that your off-by-one-word clue is the same as their off-by-one-word clue.
Since this whole mess depends on clues that only scum and you have, AND because I thought your big reveal against TexCat was too aggressive and strange, I think it’s more likely you both know the clue because you’re both scum. You could then try to milk townie points for decisively nailing TexCat (after her lynch was pretty much assured, no less), and then coast into the endgame.
headdesk
Smudge much? A main purpose of Day-1 random votes is to get a reaction. We got one from you in spades, and that’s why I voted you:
Your votes of me, OTOH, have been OMGUS, OMGUS and OMGUS.
ToDay, I wasn’t voting you at all until Astral made his case. I’d still prefer to Lynch Pleo or Darth, but your continued flailing and prevarication doesn’t make you look Townie.
- fair enough *
I could say it was D1- I had nadda
As to responding- I didn’t really have an opinion on the candidates other than what I stated
With my lifestyle change ( I can’t even live in my own house at this time) I have been – MEH- about trying to wrap around this game- * or anyother as may have been noted- *
I had suspicions but no sandwich
It was a mistake for me to try to play on this board again as I can’t keep tabs on the state of play from Day to Day when I attempt to catch up- vote counts are lost to me and while I am at it- since I am in 2 games with many of the same players I have scrambled eggs for suspicions— I have 2 days off work so I shall attempt to put my eggs in one pan
I am certainly not a key player participation wise in this game ( or any other ) I did share my clue when the game wrapped around to that being a good idea – in my mind ( and I noticed)
I shall attempt to find the cases on the vote leaders and have some sock of an opinion before this cycle ends if I can- at this point I would be voting gut-
