Mafia: Conspiracy 2: The Cabal Strikes Back! [Game Over]

NETA - what I meant by “not an awesome power” is that considering that after some early suspicion Omi was pretty much under the radar, protecting himself rather than a pretty much confirmed investigative town role is pretty dumb - if he’s safe (ie using his Scotsman power) then he isn’t using his protective power, and I’d rather have several nights of solid investigations rather than one Scotsman.

Come to the dark side Luke. We have Cookies and whole milk. There’s eNaf for everyone. And amazingly the Drain won’t get clogged. And if Wilbur will sing all the barnyard animals will be content.

Everyone to their post. Medication in ten minutes.

I know that I am a Vicar. I believe the Masons. Gotta go for the most reasonable.

Vote Story

Whoops, fuck that

Unvote Story

Vote ONK.

I feel like Iowa.

Re: the mass block theory, I see three possibilities:

  1. A member of a Scum faction performed the mass block

  2. A member of the Town performed the mass block

  3. There was no mass block

  4. I can’t see a goof Scum motivation for a mass block. The Wolves (and the Undead if we still have a bat hanging around) lost their Night kills, and the Cabal didn’t get to use their targeted block. On the plus side they stopped Koldanar from using his Seer ability and Cookies from hitting NAF (if she really is the Vig, of course). But they could have just killed Koldanar outright (I don’t think they would have had any reason to think they’d be blocked) and Cookies successfully hitting NAF wouldn’t have proved that she was actually the Vig, just that she had a killing power. And they could just kill her Tonight; as things are now they’ve still got to deal with both Koldanar and Cookies.

  5. Such a mass block would have to be Town’s secret power, meaning that ONK is lying. But a mass block would presumably by a one-shot deal, and I don’t see anyone stepping forward to claim it.

  6. My only thought here is that Cookies could be Cabal, lying about being blocked herself and then using her power on Koldanar to give the perception of multiple blocks. But that wouldn’t explain the absence of kills.

Well it’s technically possible that every killing role still in play took a beeline for MHaye while he was under my protection, but I can’t even see that beginning to happen.

And I agree whole heartedly with those last two posts. At this point a “mass block” is a pretty durn powerful town option. But that would lend itself to being a town gambit but that is something that no one is fessin’ to at this point. Except that it would mean that ONK didn’t really have a town secret power. Which would mean that I would be correct with my current vote which would mean that I have Mr. Magooed onto something which would mean that Scooby and I are on the right path which would mean that the second coming is upon us.

Oh sheepdoodle (sorry Hal).

In all seriousness, I believe dusk will be rather telling. I think that Pleo had a number of roles with no duplicates in the design of this “game”. Hence, multiples of five. However, with 31 I can see that some role got doubled, but not four. You know, if the scummers would quit making false claims this would be tremendously easier.

Is this MF going to set a record for most Days? If so, Pleo owes everyone a freaking medallion.

So you decided to protect randomly (not getting it) and scum factions decided to target on your random protection. I can see why you don’t “even see that beginning to happen.” is the best explanation that is possible.

How many times has the “dog ate my homework” song and dance worked for you?

All of this played out in the backdrop of my Pom getting brutalized by the demon cats while Dad is up unreasonably early (motto - GD get up and have some fun, NOW).

I truly am at the point that you sumbytches need to get over here and drink 'gritas and eat q and we do a rock, paper, scissors type of deal.

Dopefest in SA in about fifteen minutes.

And just a heads up. I will be leaving with the main purchaser and the two younger purchasers for a week starting Monday. As we are going to Lajitas internet accessability will most likely be spotty.

If you guys want anything from me you’ve got only 48 real time hours. I know that my guidance, thus far, has been as helpful as a PE teacher in high school. “Hey cut that crap out”. None the less I will continue to contribute generously until the last moment.

Final predictions are that DB, NAF, cookies and ONK are our last scum after PO turns up undead or something.

Two cabal - two wolf. Yippee O Karee MFs. Still can lose if not careful. I’m taking the exacta on NAF and ONK.

Wheel 'em dude and I am in for a sawbuck on the cabal express.

Wow.

Apparently my observations are so spot on that the need for any further comment is not necessary.

Well, maybe. I’m not sure what to talk about. ONK’s claimed power is… weird. I don’t know if it’s scummy-weird or not, but right now I’m feeling very inclined to vote for him. I still don’t like NAF from before. Last Night told us nothing about Cookies. So essentially, there’s not really much new information because nothing happened last night to give us anything to go on except for ONK’s town power claim.

Good point(s).

Let’s remain silent until the polls close on Wednesday.

Brains!

SHIITE

Can you get one of your Zombie buddies to join you and then Z and I will challenge y’all to a freindly game of dead v living shuffleboard? Or bridge, if you prefer since it appears that the rest of the town went to the beach for the weekend. Guess that means I get all the communion wine after today’s sermon. Woot woot.

Or if Sybil can manifest two additional distinct personalities and he would show up we could do some sort of round robin tournament thingy.

Off to vespers.

Oddly enough, in spite of disagreeing with your methodology for most of this game, I share your opinion just exactly. But it’s the weekend, and chores and QT with wife and child beckon, so elaboration will have to wait until Monday morning.

Well, nothing is really happening, but I’m going to go ahead and
vote Omi no Kami

His explanation of who he protected and why made very little sense, and also I just don’t think there are two Scotsmen. If we hang him and he doesn’t die then I guess he’s confirmed as a poor playing Scotsman, but I’m not sure what else to do at this point.

And the exact same sentiment back at you. Most folks having to go from SA to Houston take I10 East. I, on the other hand am heading due West. It may take me longer to reach the destination but, my lord, my scenary was a whole lot more fascinating.

And the drive from California to Hawaii is one for the ages.

Peek,

Let me take you way back to a time I like to call yesterday. Atlanta was free from invasion, John Edwards was a trustworthy politician, and the Olympics were a distant thought. There was a player who made a move that you didn’t believe town members would make. It didn’t really make sense as a scum move either, but you chose not to pay attention to that part. You were positive that I must be scum. You were wrong, and you were wrong because you didn’t consider the move from a pro-scum angle.

Omi moves might not make perfect sense from a pro-town perspective. I am fine with self protecting the first couple days, after all he couldn’t be sure anyone else was pro-town. Protecting Story was a little odder, but Story is certainly a legitimate target, and, if a town member, regardless of power, someone I’d want alive. The Mhaye protection is harder to justify as pro-town.

However, lets look at it another way. Why would Omi, if scum, claim to not have protected Koldanar? It would have unprovable and caused far less suspicion, then the claim he actually made. It isn’t enough to just consider what town members would do. We need to consider what scum would do too. If something doesn’t make sense from a town perspective or a scum perspective, then it is a null tell, not a scum tell. We have much better candidates.

<Snipped all to hell>

I understand. I was wrong about you but I thought the case made sense at the time. I can only work with what I have. I am not Collumbo with a smoking gun piece of evidence. I believe based on what I can figure that ONK is scum. Your eventual exoneration means doodly squat for anyone else. Friggin’ amother two cents.

And who would you be leaning towards? Seriously, if not ONK then who and why? At least I am trying. It’s real easy to sit back and just poke holes in someone else while never having a position that needs to be thought out and defended. Oh shit, we started talking about John Edwards all of a sudden.

I think Cookies, Naf, and Zsofia are all scum, the later two most likely cabal. I’m leaning towards voting Naf, but would be fine voting for any of them.
