Mafia: Conspiracy 2: The Cabal Strikes Back! [Game Over]

Ok so let me get this straight you think that my vote would have better served town by voting for cckerberos? I mean he has been the quietest. No wonder your not in favor of lynch the lurker it would never work if that was how it was done and would accomplish nothing. The idea is to prod someone into posting not throw out a vote to stay alive. It just worked out that I found Pollux’s response to my prod to be very scummy so that is where my vote it staying, at least unless something crazy happens. I must be a little slow this morning because I don’t see how using a criteria some basic logic to see who meets it is scummy while voting and unvoting for your self is not or even random vote despite all that has happened (that’s not a shot at Ro0sh). Speaking of a weaksauce explanation.

yeah, newb card, is my one shot super secret power, I get to convince the town I am dumber than I actually am.

I’m inclined to disagree with** Drain Bead**. Oredigger has, perhaps unintentionally, put the definitions for lurking and flaking into his own words, and chosen to examine lurkers, but not flakers. Makes sense to me.

Very unintentionally, thanks, I didn’t know there were defined terms out there but ya that is basically what I was trying to say.

Hehe, I’m not that evil. As long as I can determine what the intention is, I will accept a vote. Or ignore a quoted vote.

Not following the guidelines merely risks me misunderstanding you. Not really a problem in the middle of the Day (there’s time to make corrections), but when it comes down to the final hours and there’s a flurry of votes, it becomes important. Because once the final vote count for the Day is posted here at Dusk, it’s final.

Notice to all: you may wish to check how I have your vote placed. I believe my count is correct, but let me know if there’s an error before it’s too late.

Well this makes it far better to let mod-kills go through and lynch someone not at risk for mod-kill. The prompt to de-lurk enough to vote is there, and the town doesn’t get screwed out of information it needs. It also makes it harder to hide votes in the mod-killed as there’s no reason to additionally pressure someone who hasn’t even voted, don’t vote, get killed, but we still gain information. We can also look very closely at people who do nothing more than vote at the last minute without explanation.

Yep, that negates what I was saying in post 770 (and is better for us).

Vote brewha.

He’s had 13 posts so far in the game, only 4 toDay (and one of those was devoted solely to Austin Powers) and his vote is currently for No Lynch.

There are other low post-count players in a very similar situation who’s few contributions so far have largely been voting to save themselves from Pleo’s Basement of DOOM!!!
Some of them have voted for themselves, which I think is a very dumb idea, but I think those votes are going to stick out for what they are in the future vote analysis. brewha’s vote, however, I suspect was made in the manner that it was in hopes that it would not receive as much scrutiny if looked at later in the game.

My vote, on the other hand, is being made because a) I think the aforementioned behavior is very shifty and b) by voting for him toDay, I can perhaps draw some scrutiny towards him that I believe he is trying to avoid.

No matter how I tried, I just could not get comfortable with the Radio Flier that Cat is being tugged around on, so when sifting through the potential one-offs and low-participation prods, I found a solid vote that serves a constructive purpose.

grrr

Vote brewha

Really? Only 4? I am keeping up and I am reading. I just don’t have much of a reason to chime in with a bunch of ‘Me Too’ posts.

OTOH, it looks like you only have 8 posts toDay, Cookies

2 of which served to edit previous posts and one was to clarify the schedule. I didn’t examine the other 5 for meat, but you’re not exactly lighting the keyboard on fire yourself.

And, I don’t see why my no lynch vote is getting anymore scrutiny that for those who voted for themselves. I honestly do not see a good canidate for a lynch and am not comfortable just guessing.

Holy crap, I am so behind over here. The shit in the offboard game is being propelled into the fan with supersonic velocity, and I’m finding it nearly impossible to contribute equally to both games and to keep track of my impressions from game to game. This is definitely my last time playing multiple games; one at a time from now on, because this is beyond frustrating (and I think it’s a fundamental reason underlying the lack of activity in all the games. You get so far behind while playing one game that trying to catch up in the other seems like an impossible task).

I’ll try like a lunatic to catch up this afternoon. I am puzzled that, with so little time remaining, Cat hasn’t role claimed or really done much in his own defense, in spite of being the most likely candidate for the noose toDay.

I’ll just out and say it: I’m worried that Cat is going to claim Witch at the 11th hour, leaving us with an impossible and confusing dilemma.

Ugh, more reading needed.

Not really. We could simply not chose between them, and let a Vig take them out. If the other protective roles don’t chose, either, and let the Witches protect themselves, then one will be left unprotected. If the Vig choses wrong, they’ll get scum the next Night. If we don’t have a Vig, pretty much all the other scum groups want the Witches dead, so I think this plan would work.

Yes, that’s a fair point. Except that we will then have to find an alternative lynch target, potentially on tremendously short notice, which is reason enough for Cat to pull such a gambit if he is scum. If he is a Witch and Nanook is lying, then I can’t perceive any reason for a long delay in the reveal.

I’ve been considering it all day **storyteller ** (don’t forget I’m several hours ahead of you), and frankly the town, for the few of us there are, should be able to find a lynch victim in the 24 hours remaining. At least, I hope we can.

You are right and that I should claim now. I would really rather not, but you are not going to leave me any alternative, are you?

Don’t worry about one thing though. I won’t be claiming Witch.

Instead, to the Wolves delight.

I am a Detective.

If CIAS is a witch, I think he would have revealed that by now, given that the tide turned directly from Nanook to him after Nanook’s claim. Clearly if CIAS is a witch, Nanook is not, so it would end up being a witch reveal to nail a scum AND avoid sending a real witch to the gallows. Worth it in my book, so if CIAS makes an 11th-hour witch claim, I’d probably assume that he was the one who was lying.

Or, I could check for new posts before I post so I don’t end up wasting time on something completely irrelevant.

Hm. Interesting. For the moment:

And I must say, it now makes sense to me why CIAS was pushing the whole mass-reveal idea so much.

What, that’s it? No Role PM, secret powers or investigation results?

Here’s another claim that seems verifiable fairly quickly, so

Although I must admit, it seems…unlucky that the first two lynch candidates are both so bloody valuable. Can’t wait until the next lynch candidate claims Seer.

Oh bah. Bah is all I have to say. At least you’re verifiable.

Unvote CIAS

I’m not sure where to go from here. I’ll check back a little later after I reread.
